Ekta Kapoor surprises Saillesh on his b-day -TOI

Saillesh Gulabani's birthday party this month became extra special thanks to the number and level of surprises, two ladies ' his wife AshitaDhawan and his producer Ekta Kapoor ' sprung on him.

Ashita was the mastermind behind the surprise party. She invited the who's who of TV industry. However, the second surprise was bigger. When Ekta, known to be a recluse to the world beyond her close circle of friends, dropped in to wish Saillesh. Other guests in the party was Kapoor's rival, Rajan Shahi who catapulted Ashita to fame with his show Bidaai. Says Saillesh, "My jaw dropped when I saw Ekta making an entry into the party.

I wasn't expecting her to show up. What can be a bigger surprise than this?" Mighty Ekta was accompanied by her 'good-friend' Rizwan, who seems to be her official escort to most parties and events of late. She came directly from a private bash, which she had thrown for Anita Hassanandani at Madh Island. Wonder, if it's the talent and a probable project with the Gulabanis that prompted Kapoor to make a rare appearance. The party has certainly brought in twin joy to the couple.
