Kya Kool Hain Hum to get cooler

Kya Kool Hai Hum released in 2005, and since then, there were talks of a sequel. Producer Ekta Kapoor and brother Tusshar Kapoor were keen to bring a sequel to life, which has now been finalized upon. The sequel will star the lead pair of the original - Ritesh Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor.

A source close to the production house informs us, "Ever since Kya Kool Hain Hum released and did well, producer Ekta Kapoor wanted to make a sequel, but she was not hitting the correct chord. And now, after so many years, they got a good script, and will be working on it."

The source continued, "Director Sangeet Sivan was searching for a better script, but nothing was clicking. That's when the film's writer, Sachin Yardi, came up with a cracker of an idea that was agreeable to Ekta as well as Tusshar. The sequel will also be directed by Sachin himself."

When contacted, Tusshar Kapoor said, "Yes, Sachin would be directing the sequel for us. We have been in regular touch for a very long time, and the fact that he has come up for the sequel is going to take the Kya Kool Hai Hum franchise several notches higher. We would be beginning the film's shoot this year itself. And we are trying to make it better than Kya Kool Hain Hum, which was already a riot".

When we contacted the sequel king, read Ritesh Deshmukh, who is already working on Double Dhamaal and Housefull 2, about Kya Kool Hain Hum 2, he said, "Why not! I guess sequels are doing good business. And Kya Kool Hain Hum has been one of the very successful films till date. I am very eager to work in the film." "The first part connected with the youth easily and, I guess, Ekta Kapoor knows how to pull her audience," smiled Ritesh.
