TOI: Parul repents joining Pratha?

That's what the buzz is. Parul Chauhan who became an overnight star with her debut showBidaai, was roped in to replace the original protagonist Shalini Chandran in Pratha.

The idea was to grab more eyeballs courtesy her popularity, but things didn't go as planned. The ratings haven't picked up. The actress too is now regretting being on this show, and has voiced her displeasure to those close to her.

A source reveals, "Parul is unhappy because she is made to wait for hours before she is called for her shot. She has also been complaining about the treatment meted out to her by the production house. She has even thought of quitting the show but decided otherwise as Pratha is the only project in her kitty at the moment." However when asked, the actress was shocked, "Who said that? No." Wonder if it's the poor ratings of the show that's prompted Parul to secretly spread the word or to gain some sympathy. Whatever, the trick has worked.
