Next morning when maan came to daadi's room after workout he found both daadi and geet sleeping. It was 7 and geet had to reach college by 8. She was late maan knew that. First he thought of calling her name but he didn't wish to wake up daadi. Daadi was weak and most sleep wud be beneficial for her health. He moved to her side of the bed and kneeled near her.
He thought of ways to wake her up. She looked so splendid. Pure creamy porcelain skin glowing in the morning light. Her skin without a wiff of makeup looked blemishfree. So smooth were her cheeks that it tempted him to touch. He whispered in low tone ' geet' geet. His voice sounded so sexy in his husky undertone. She made a low hummm in her sleep as if someone was calling her in her dreams. He touched her cheeks with his fingers. Maybe the sensation awakens her but she blushed under his touch. She moved her cheek in a manner to rub it on his fingers' oh her smooth skin was awakening new desires in him which hadn't be evoked for years. He had never thought an innocent smile in a girls sleep cud be so sensuous that wud ring the chords of his heart which he had long rated as rusted. He closed his eyes, gulped in to overcome his raw desire of caressing her and touching her that too in her sleep. It was wrong for him to touch someone without her knowledge. He withdrew his hand from her face and shook her by her hand to wake her up.
She jolted and woke up. She got a little nervous on seeing him sitting so close. He put his fingers on her lips to shut her up. Chup' daadi so rahi hai he said huskily. She gathered herself and got up. He showed her the watch and she gasped on being late. She rushed to her room without saying a word to him.
** theirs was the only group to complete the project fully due to the completed graph. Geet explained the concept to romeo and nuts. She was too happy. She made yash promise a treat at the new thai resteraunt in town and rushed back home.
** post that day maan and geet shared small talks at times. Still these conversations were always started by geet and maan was there with his hhmms and haan and nods. Chatting was just not in his nature but he liked her chit chat.
***Next week the whole gang raided the thai place and enjoyed it. Some mess was created as yash wanted a gift idea for his mother's birthday and in the chaos he created the waiter missed geet mentioning mushroom allergy. The food served had mushroom and yash got angry over it. Afterwards geet settled it as she didn't want the young boy to be fired because of her.
*** Finally the gift option was settled to a surprise party for yash's mom with all home made food. They went to yash's farm house on that rukmini aunty's birthday. They divided work as they had planned to do all work by themselves. Geet and meera headed towards the kitchen. Meera had been teased by all that she needed to impress her sasu ma with her cooking skills. With time geet had played the cupid for yash and meera.. making them realise their subconscious desire to be together always.
Yash was to become helper to meera as to add the emotional touch to the whole party. But yash was behaving stupid in kitchen. He didn't know sugar from salt and created more work instead of helping them. Ultimately he was thrown out of the kitchen. Geet helped meera with all the basics from cutting chopping washing and arranging things. In the process the cake which geet had to make got delayed. They had only 3 hrs left for uncle to bring ruku aunty there and geet's cake was not eben added to the oven. Then yash offered his elder bro's help who had just arrived.
Yash ' bhai knows all the nit grit of kitchen he can help u.
Geet ' just like u.
Karan ' no I will try to prove to be better then him. So lets try.
He indeed was better. They both made the batter and laid it in the oven. Geet while working with him realised that inspite of being reserved type initially. He slowly opened up to geet in a matter of an hour. He was working with his father. Quite an interesting person for geet as geet's dictionary of men where either friendly like her college friends or some downright orthodox like her family or tough person like maan singh khurana. Karan was easy to talk to, friendly intelligent and matured. Geet felt quite comfortable with him and they worked together comfortably to make the cake.
After rukmini aunty's arrival the party went well. She was too happy with the idea and the special touch the girls added. She confesed how badly she missed having daughters and these girls had taught their sons something more than buying gifts from the mall.
The cake was the biggest surprise as geet gave 75%credit to karan. Karan was instead mentioning that it was geet who did the most. Ruku (rukmini) didn't fail to mark the comfort level his reserved and not so easily mingling son was showing with geet. All thru the dinner both made each other comfortable. Nuts romeo and riya were already familiar with yash's family but geet was new. But geet proved to be an instant hit and most credit went to karan who was extra conscious of her comfort. Others marked too that there was some vibs in free flow from karan's side. Everyone was aware of karan not being flirt type like yash so if he was doing the extra bit it meant he is liking geet. Geet was the only dumbo who related karan to be like yash and played easy with him. This proved to be a wrong signal as everyone was under the impression that geet is liking him too.
Yash and meera decided to play cupid in this without informing nuts. Nuts was the no affair type. She never believed in such theories and fundas of love.
