Abhay-Piya: Their world is a brilliant pink.
" When I look at him , I see the sun , the stars , the moon, the universe bottled in a human body through whose soul , the paradise glitters. When he looks at me, he sees the whole beauty of the world gathered in a simple face – beauty that is so brilliant that it blinds your eyes. That is how we are. And I don't know how else I describe what we share. I mean, can't you just feel it when we walk in?"
Yes, Abhay-Piya's world is a brilliant pink today. So brilliant that its light outshone all the darkness , threats and negativity that my gorgeous gorgeous Sid brought along. That is the 'light' of love when you open your heart and your soul to it. Piya is coloured in Abhay's love – a rather indelible ink , you can say. Ever since he told her that he loves her, she has been living on a pink fluff cloud , living her fairytale like a princess. She is happy from within, she is content , she glows and has this 'Abhay' smile lighting p her face so much that I wonder if her jaws ache from looking so happy all the time? The girl is so happy that its scary , it really is. And then, Abhay. Abhay , who has no plans of pulling Piya into the shadows with him , irrespective of his indelible love for her- that Abhay has no idea how deeply he has rooted himself to Piya. His mind is playing with Piya but his heart is not. And the Abhay we saw today was Piya's Abhay. As she wants to see him , be with him, see him smiling , happy , loving and not sulking in the dark about the weight of the universe on his head. He was what Piya has always wanted him to be. A man truly in love with her and happy with her.
Today was a welcome change from the perpetually dukhi –aatma Abhay. He was NORMAL after a long time and finally , he was out of his Byronic hero shoes. Phew! He was your regular guy next door . Cute, loving , possessive , playful and mischievous. Shocking. Abhay was being mischievous. Did Sid and Kabir's spirits invade his body or something?
Piya knew that Abhay would be upset about her dance pairing with Kabir. The moment she saw that he was no longer in the audi , she , first chided him mentally for reacting immaturely to the situation as he only had said that him and her dating is a classified secret. But then, she knew that the 'Kabir' factor was still a wee bit touchy issue between them. So, what followed was a mature and cute Piya trying to pacify a bratty and childishly angry Abhay on the Blackberrry chat. Abhay was honest – yes, I am jealous and I don't want to talk to you, Go and get cozy with Kabir. Surprisingly, Piya didn't get angry in retaliation – she just 'loved' this jealous and possessive side of "stay away from me & my life" Abhay. And all the loving texts that she sent to a pouting upset Abhay were just not enough to win his smile back. Abhay is Abhay. A man of extremes. When he doesn't care , he doesn't care. And when he does, he punishes the love of his second life by asking her to kiss him in front of everyone without letting them know that she is dating him. Piya doesn't need to be asked, Abhay. She is ever ready to kiss you anywhere , anytime. I thought you'd know that by now. Lol. And the grinning pink on Piya's face at the chance of kissing Abhay showed that.
And a glowing ,gloriously happy , madly in love Piya kissed Abhay . Kissed him to the sight of two pairs of lovely bimbette eyes. Piya walks in a daze , on clouds and it shows on her face . She walks in love and it only got elevated when she saw Abhay in the lecture hall. Sitting smugly on a bench , looking at her with a grin , waiting for her to fulfill the promise she made. And she did. Falling on him on the excuse of tripping – meeting his face with hers and kissing him shyly on his cheek, lightly. While Abhay looked happy , Piya's glow getting on his face as well, Piya just took the moment to just keep looking at him with the eyes of a woman . And Abhay smiled…….Abhay-Piya in their little world in a pink bubble.
What followed is something that made even Sid speechless and fumble on his words. Not understanding or even bothering about Sid's playful warning - Piya ,her eyes hardly leaving Abhay's face , innocently declared that she didn't care about falling or getting hurt – she was just flowing with destiny. To her, destiny is Abhay . And you could tell by that look in Abhay's eyes that how touched and how proud he was of Piya for telling Sid the power of her love for Abhay. For a few seconds, even Sid had to think what to say in response to Piya. And when Sid left , the way Piya excitedly raised her eyebrows at Abhay to ask him if she cleared the kiss test , the way Abhay smiled at her by blinking his eyes , you are just reminded that why are they so special.
Contrary to assumptions, the jealousy game was not that bitter or serious. Piya had no plans to make Abhay jealous but Abhay , obviously, got jealous. As he entered the rehearsal hall, the sight of Piya in Kabir's arms drove him up the wall and in immaturely cute envious impulse , he ran into T's arms. I think I only saw Kabir and T dancing. Abhay-Piya were busy in eye-wars and cursing each-other. Abhay was so teasingly smug and Piya looked like boiling cheeseballs in a frying pan. The original AbhIya fan , Misha , of course enjoyed the jealous exchange between two of her favourite people. Abhay wasn't serious. He just likes being a tease , so when Piya tries to be a tease , he just snatches his crown back.
The last scene. Ummm…. T should get some bodyguards. The usually calm and meek Piya might just surprise her with a black eye. Piya didn't leave the issue . She was superangry at Abhay's dance with T. Calling him names, cursing him, fuming like a steam engine, she actually came hunting to he boys' locker room to scream at Abhay. And Abhay , smiling , cool, calm, composed and loving this side of Piya just gathered her in his arms and the cheeseballs slowly came off the frying pan. The sweet, forgiving , softie Piya actually threatened to kill T if she touched Abhay ever again. The girl is surely changing. Abhay , is that your blood speaking in her, hmm? It was a sweet romantic moment and Abhay was being all naughty and teasing. Like I said, today , he didn't care even if Sid was breathing down his neck.
And Sid. I don't know. I just feel disappointed in him , at times and sometimes, I feel sad for him. Sid's life is empty , a big hollow – an evil hollow , the echoes of which are the only company that he has. He is lonely. He has done mistakes and I just wish love and redemption to him. I hope he finds something beautiful in any kind of love and just releases himself from the hell where he thinks he is happy. I know he is going to hurt Abhay-Piya , repeat a history of betrayal to Abhay but somehow, I just don't get angry on him. Not just an idle mind , even an idle heart is a devil's workshop.
PRECAP: Piya is drifting into Abhay's shadows – the divide between the pink world and the dark underworld is narrowing . But is it something to be happy about? No. The innocence , the purity that we see now is going to fly away . And what will be left behind is a pair of dark intense souls hinged together – Abhay and Piya.
It is amusing. The show still doesn't have a proper story or a well thought out plan. But the scenes are epic . The characters are strong and endearing.
P.S- I was superhappy to see Arnab and Madhu. I LURVE their couple and their love story.
