Tasneem Sheikh becomes Tanisha Nerurukar |
The whole world knows about my marriage, It's an old story now, the irritation is quite evident in Tasneem Sheikh's voice when asked about her wedding which took place on April 16. Contrary to her comic character Mohini in the popular soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Tasneem was quite tense while talking about her marriage preparations. Tasneem Sheikh has changed her name to Tanisha Nerurukar. The wedding reception of Tassnim Sheikh and Sameer Nerurkar at Leela Hotel was a quiet affair with select guests from both the TV world and her family. Rakshanda Khan came as a team with Reva Babber and Gauri Pradhan. Tasneem looked splendid in the copper brown beige saree designed by her friend. After the photo-ops she headed straight to the dance floor with hubby in tow. While they refused to kiss each other before the shutterbugs, they danced for a couple of hours. 'I can't believe I have actually got married to Sameer. It's just unreal,' said Tassnim. The spelling change was explained by the presence of numerologist Sanjay Jumani. Ekta Kapoor gave it a miss, but those present included Ronit Roy, Apurva Agnihotri, Shilpa Saklani, Shama Sikander and Hussain. 'We know each other for three years now and it's high time we got married, you know Sameer loves my food, specially Chicken Biryani' said Tasneem talking about her hubby Sameer Nerurukar, who is with the merchant navy, 'First of all, our marriage was scheduled for early this year, but then had to be postponed because of my accident.' The signs of that accident are still evident on her face, which is still swollen. 'But the marriage couldn't be postponed since his (Sameer's) work schedule wouldn't allow us time at a later stage.' And what about her honeymoon plans? 'Well, that is the sad part of being an actor. My work schedule doesn't permit me to go for a long honeymoon. All I can manage is four to five day's leave and after that I will be back on the sets. But yes, I will definitely make up for this sometime later.' Is Sandeep comfortable with your professional commitments which demands more than the usual eight hours schedule? 'He is a professional himself and understands the demands of my profession,' says Sheikh adding that she couldn't have found a better soulmate for herself. |
