Tassnim's shaadi ka joda

Tassnim Sheikh, who plays the scheming Mohini in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, will marry boyfriend of three years, Sameer Nerurkar, today.

The ceremony, to be attended by the families of the couple and a few select friends, will be a hush-hush affair, followed by a reception tomorrow.

Mehendi lagi hai

Tassnim, who has her hands full of mehendi, said, "It's chaotic, but really fun. I have been waiting for this day for a really long time."

Tassnim's close friend, Rakhi Upadhyaya, has designed Sheikh's ensemble for her big day, and it's a surprise. Tassnim hadn't seen her sari even till late evening yesterday.

"Rakhi has told me it will be a huge surprise. She hasn't told me anything about the outfit, so I am quite excited about what it will be like." Fianc Sameer will wear a two-piece suit.

When asked about accessories, Tassnim said, "I am going to deck up like a traditional bride and wear all the necessary jewellery. I am planning to wear oxidised, ethnic gold, set with red rubies."

Sari saras chhe!

Her designer Rakhi gave details about Tassnim's bridal outfit.

"The sari is beige and has lots of cutwork embellishment. The embroidery is in colours of copper brown, gold and silver. There are tiny red flowers, and the sari is quite heavy, with lots of sequins."

Sameer's suit, on the other hand, is simple and elegant. "It's cream-coloured, worn over a shirt with a Chinese collar."
