Arav is that guy who Kkavya was disputing with regarding the land. He is that guy that gave Kavya the ride to the party, and gave him some mangoes to give to Yash Nanda.

In the one year leap, Arav becomes Iqbal's brother, so that means that Iqbal is related to the Nanda family, hence why when Iqbal first entered the Nanda household Bauji was sort of shocked.
