SunAvi are at the stage in their life, which most middle aged couples will go through....Most of us will know what goes through their minds, listening to conversations in our own familes....Natuarally they will want the joy of becoming grandparents once their children are settled....

But in all this SunAvi are forgetting one thing...The way they handled Shaan childhood was not exactly perfect....We saw a glimpse of this during the SunAvi divorse track....Please correct me if I am wrong....But Shaan felt he was a mistake, since his parents never had time for him and they always fought over anything related to him....

Sunil may have been busy with work....Madhavi's absense could have been due to trying to find some happiness, which marriage failed to give....This brings to question wether they themselves were responsible parents?....Love is a diffrent matter in this case....They need to look to themselves...Before deciding that Shaan should be consent to becoming a father....

So at some level Shaan knows that to have a child, is a full time commitment.....If he was to be a father, he will do it whole heartedly or not at all....His current focus is too enjoy the early part of his marriage....Subconsiously, perhaps trying not to repeat the mistakes his parents made....

Veena, posted in the DT, that after Khanak's atempts to convince him, Shaan may get angry and try to make her understand his reasons not to have a child at this point....He may express his previous frustration at SunAvi....

These are some of my thoughts on the topic....I haven't got all of them clear, but I see SunAvi's interference in ShaNak's decision, causing old wounds to open for Shaan...Among other things...

great post May, yeah Sunil and Madhavi were not ideal parents towards Shantanu, he needs to come to the decision of becoming a father with Khanak only those two should be the ones deciding the right time.

Great post May.....

Wish Shaan tells them what he exactly feels about the issue.....and explains why he doesn't want to take up the responsibilty at this stage of his marriage.....

He is right here and I feel that having a kid is just another step ahead in a relationship and there needs to be a lot of time spent with each other, understanding, developing a sound bond and enjoying the 'just two of us' part of married life.....

loved a line from Shaan from yesterday's episode when Sunil tells Khanak that -- "bacha aane ke baad tum sab kuch bhool jaogi...'
shaan standing there -- (thinks to himself)-- "mujhe bhi !!".........he is worried about sharing of time with his wife and that is actually true !!

hope he explains that to Khanak.............she understands .........and SunAvi don't interfere !!

I agree with you Manita....I said refered to that scene in the DT....Shaan wants all of Khanak attention on him at the moment....And why not....He knows after a baby things change....Again his parents should try and understand that....They know what ShaNak have been through.....

Can't they be more understanding?....But once again it shows that SunAvi are not perfect in matter of parenting....Even when Khanak was trying to tell them she wasn't pregnant, they wouldn't listen to reason....

Hope Shaan does succeed in convincing Khanak atleast....Once she is understands, she will support him as always😊....Even against SunAvi's wishes.....

Agree with you sunil and madz not a idel father and mother and they both are busy of their life so not give much time to shaan and his childhhooh was not exactly perfect but that time shaan and khanak both are matured and they take dicision themselves and if shaan took responsibility of child than he should be becoming a father !!!!

Hey May ... good topic!! I am going to talk fast as i have a meeting coming.. LOL!

Ok.. here is my take.

Shaan's relationship with his parents is not what is making him react this way.. i think it is his 'maturity' that is making him feel this. ShaNak haven't even completed one year of marriage.. yes they love each other very much but with the circumstance they got married in.. the need time to know each other more and understand each other.. Shaan is not stable in his profession yet (whatever that he peruses!) Khanak being the independent girl she is doesn't need to be tied down (yet) -- Ok so this is my feeling regarding Khanak. 😆

In all this should we point it toward SunAvi .. nope.. i wouldn't .. they did make mistakes .. all parents do.. regardless of how many books that are written on parenting ... to each its own.. every parent have their own battles to fight. So did SunAvi and they do realize it.. but that has gotten nothing to do with Shaan's decision currently.

In all this .. i feel for all of them..
SunAvi for wanting to become grandparents. I will not blame them if they expect or request.. this is their haak! Only valid.

Shaan in feeling how he does... still there is plenty to do and look forward to .. Baby will come but in time.

Khanak.. the bahu and the daughter she has been this is her way of showing respect.... I have a feeling that Shaan will make her understand that really now is not the time for a baby and she will understand.

In all this .. i want my Shaan to come thru for me... comeon Shaan!!!

I think Shaan is actually quite mature....But he wants to remain a bachaa or behaves like a child....I got that impression today, when he was speaking to Khanak and Akshay....

I am not sure I blame SunAvi exactly....But their actions, may have had an influence on his attitude about children...I accept every parent faces different issues regarding parenting...I guess I's ment SunAvi needed to think about ShaNak choice too, or be more aware of their confusion....Guess they were just too excited😆....

Seeing today's episode....I am inclined to agree with you about Shaan...It's not about his parents he just wants more time with Khanak...
