For a real, short update --- here you go.

Astha (daughter of Mohan and Bhakti) was married to Raj (who faked his love for Astha), when he was really in love with Shika (daughter of Mohan and Padmini, his ex-lover). However, since Raj's kundali showed that his first wife will die, Shika, Raj and Raj's Masi, Rasila plotted to marry Raj to Astha, have her die as per the astrological prediction and then convince the family to allow Raj-Shika to get married.

However, things didn't workout with Astha living -- so, Rasika plotted to kill Astha in order to have Raj and Shika marry. But, this plan failed and Astha survived, reaching her Nani's village. Eventually, the 5 Nanavati bahus figured out the truth while pretenting to be happy with Raj and his proposed alliance to Shika.

In the end, the truth of Raj, Shika and Rasila came out and they have been jailed. Now, the storyline is over Astha and her recovery from this traumatic experience - Manjula and Parul favor Astha not doing work and want to shower their continued love vs. Alpa and Jalpa, who favor Astha becoming independent - this is also favored by Dev, the "new" guy in Asthaa's life, who is the grandson of the Village Head from Nani's town.
