@TM Abhay is actually not weird. He is in a weird state. There are so many things going on his mind right now which are dangerous for his love, his friends, their existence. The entry of Sid and Pia in his life has created a total havoc in his life. Sid has always wanted to snatch away Abhay's happiness but it was not possible before as Abhay never had happiness. With Pia in his life, Sid has got that very chance. This has made Abhay scared, too scared. As Sid is supposed to be powerful and evil at the same time. His evilness knows no boundaries. At this point, Abhay' can't focus on love but he can only focus on how to save that love.
Though I agree with you on one point that his state of mind is not portrayed very well by the writers. There is some inconsistency in the characters behavior and events. But I am hoping that this will improve with time. This is first time BT is handling a supernatural show. So, I am sure with some more time they will excel in it.
