Part 14:
Mayank got up as usual around 6 in the morning at his usual jogging time when he suddenly realized Nupur beside him and freaked out for a few minutes as if his yesterday's events came as surprising to him today as they would have been to him any other day and he sat down suddenly and looked at Nupur who slept comfortably in her allocated space yesterday...he stood up and went towards the side table on Nupur's side to pick up his phone and check for the business plans for today which he had the habit of setting in the day planner....but then picking up the phone he realized that he didn't set any plans for the day since his Ma had barred him from office for the next 2 days.....he went to freshen-up and left for jogging.....

Nupur woke up at the door knock's voice and opened her eyes to look around and remembering it was her New house she was in, she knew she had to answer just yet and her usual, "5 min Gunjan"or "2 min Bauji" won't do, so she got up yawning stretching her hands in
the air and opened the door to find Shilpa Aunty at the door smiling and she smiled back but remembered now she was her Mother-in-law and probably her tantrums won't work now....and she replied, "Aunty aap?"
Shilpa Sharma replied back smiling, "Aunty nahi beta, Ma..."
Nupur's smile increased and she immediately hugged her saying, "Ma" and pulled back smiling to her
Shilpa Sharma said, "Mujhe pata hai tum thoda deri se uthti ho, par aaj tumhari life ka special day hai naa....aaj jaldi uthna chahiye...aur sabki blessings logi toh shubh hoga"
Nupur asked with a question mark on her face, "Sabki?"
Shilpa Sharma replied back, "Darro mat Mayank ki baat nahi kar rahi hoon..." Nupur forced a smile as if she din't mean that while she rubbed her hands and Ma continued speaking, "infact, woh aa jaaye toh tum dono taiyaar hokar aa jaana neeche saath mein blessings lene..." and Nupur nodded thinking now how to convince him that and Ma left saying, "theek hai...and a very good morning" patting her cheeks leaving Nupur with a new feeling of calling someone Ma and specially to her who practically was like one to her....

Mayank came back and was very surprised to find Nupur already awake, he thought she slept as much as she finds time, afterall she was such a dreamer. He saw Nupur at the dressing table was facing towards the mirror combing her wet hair, he looked at her hair, it
was so long which she alwys tied in a ponytail....his thoughts were broken by Nupur who said,
"ab jaldi se naha lo, Ma ne hamein neeche bulaya hai..."
Mayank was surprised, firstly she called his Ma..."Ma"...then she talked like a typical wife, he thought did she forget that they were not a typical Husband- Wife and had just got married yesterday....and she was up so early and moving in an organized manner....he was
really Surprised by her and shaking his head went to the bathroom for taking a bath...
when he went inside the bathroom, he saw that a smiley was drawn on the bathroom mirror which was a bit foggy due to steam because probably Nupur had just taken a bath....he had seen such a smiley after so long, he smiled seeing it...he remembered once when he was
small he had put a bucket upside down and stood up on it to draw such a smiley in his Dad's bathroom....he suddenly realized he was being childish and hit his head at the back saying,
"kaisi bachchon jaisi harkat hai..." and moved ahead to have a bath

When Mayank came out of the bath and was getting ready, he almost had the shock of his ife when he saw Nupur bringing a tray of some snacks into his room and moved it towards him and she was enjoying seeing him freaking out like this on seeing her and further on her
own accord she added, "Li jiye swami, aake liye.." and moved the tray towards him
Mayank took a few steps back seing her this way and gave an expression as if heart attack could be explained in a single expression...and said, "Kyaaaa?" shouting a bit and making Nupur burst out laughing
Mayank realized it was her "lets-irritate-Mayank" times and she replied laughing, "Mayank tum kya har cheez ko itna hi seriously lete ho...darr toh aise rahe the ki koi bhoot dekh liya ho...ByGod Mayank...apne expressions mein kuch toh joke ke reaction bhi lao..."
Mayank eased out his reactions a little and asked as if he needs a clear answer now, "par tum iss tarah yun tray lekar kya kar rahi ho?"
Nupur replies still laughing a bit, "tumhari aunty jo Ram-pooor(stressing on the word poor stretching her hand upwards) se aayi hai naa, woh yeh tumhe khilana chahti thi, par mujhe pakda kar tumhe dene ko kaha aur khud sharmane lagi, mujhe toh tabhi se hassi aa rahi thi
ByGod...uspar tum mere joke se iss tarah darre ki..."
Mayank cut her in to say,"Oh hello, main koi darra warra nahi tha, woh toh mujhe laga ki...."
Nupur asked supressing her smile, "kya laga?"
Mayank replied annoyed at her laughter not dieing out still, "yahi ki Nupur jisse kam karna toh cheeti jitna thoda thoda pasand aata hi hoga.....uska dimaag bhi cheeti ki tarah hi chota ho gaya hai....isliye aisi harkate kar rahi ho"his voice raising slowly as he spoke with
sarcasm making Nupur go angry and red with it...
Nupur now replied pointing at him, "dekho Mayank tum apni galti mujhe keh kar mat chupao..."
Mayank replied back, "Galti, kaunsi galti...?" he asked walking towards her when he was cut in by Ma who came to see why they still weren't coming down and said seeing them fight, "Arrey, tumlog neeche nahi aaye abhi tak, kabse bulaya tha na maine...chalo jaldi karo..." and turned back but thinking something again looked at them and said, "aur Mayank meri bahu se theek se baat karo samjhe...woh galat nahi hoti jaldi...tum hi over react karne lagte ho.."
Mayank knew it all along, this was what was going to happen with him, his Ma and Nupur will always hold him responsible for every mistake and fight of their's, and he opened his mouth to protest when Nupur smiled at Ma and said, "Chaliye naa Ma, hum aate hain" and smiled at Mayank since Ma suppoerted her as always and asked rather sweetly, "Chalein" showing him the way and he looked up twisting his jaw a little and said as if annoyed, "After you" showing her the way
Nupur showed off her privilege and moved ahead of him when he followed suite...

Mayank and nupur reached downstairs and as Shilpa Sharma had said earlier, they had to take the blessings of all the elders still staying at their home wedding being the primary cause. They all gave Nupur what they said was a "muh-dikhayi" a ritual where they welcomed Nupur by a present or some even gave her money in an envelope as "Shagun" and Nupur thoroughly enjoyed the event more because of Mayank than the others. Shilpa Sharma had made him sit beside her during the event and all gave them blessings together but what annoyed Mayank the most was that all gave blessing along with pulling his cheeks as if of a kid and Nupur was totally enjoying the expressions on Mayank's face while even her cheeks were pulled by a few but she tried her best not to show her irritation and looked at Mayank smiling when he was showing irritation
but there was more to come for Mayank and Nupur now...this was not it...
