So I heard that the possible future trend is that of stay at home dads!
whats your take one that?
does that mean the end of ''masculinity''is near? as women are becoming the ''men'' of the house
Some people say that men aren't being raised as men-that is more fearless, brave etc etc..or they are becoming more feminine or whimpy!
Is the society becoming more and more ''feminine''?
So how comfortable are you with the role reversals or the blurring of the gender differences?

So making babies makes a man masculine, but taking care of those babies makes him feminine? What a load of bull ... !

I wasn't saying that to you at a personal level. I was just saying that in general to people who hold those views. I apologize if it came across that way. :)

I caught from your user ID that you're a girl, not that it has anything to do with any of this actually.

With innovations in the field of IT and communication, its possible for people both men and women to carry on their work from the comforts of their home. So I feel it's a good option for not only dads but also moms.

Not sure how staying at home decreases the masculinity of men 😕 If anything it will make them appreciate how much work needs to be taken care of even by staying at home.

Traditionally men have been the breadwinners but with change in social conditions women have started earning. That doesn't make them "men" of the house- they retain their sterling qualities as women even as they earn their livelihood. 😆

Some people say that men aren't being raised as men-that is more fearless, brave etc etc..or they are becoming more feminine or whimpy!
Its possible that females are getting more assertive, bold and less whimpy as you put it , so the perceived difference between the genders gets blurred in the process.
Is the society becoming more and more ''feminine''?
Feminine qualities bring to my mind loving, caring, intuitive, tolerant and high emotional quotient 😆 If society imbibes these qualities I'd consider it as a good sign for things to come 😛

Yeah, I m quite comfortable with it.

I think stay at home dad is just like a housewife. I prefer it when one spouse takes care of the house and the kids while the other is away. It's not primitive where only women have to work at the house. I don't think both parents should work, the kid should be with one parent at least.

I think it's all psychological, if you feel feminine while being a stay home dad,. it's because of you or your peers.
