Hi CBians,

Well, just a brief note regarding the exciting experience !

It was great watching the "small screen" 1st epi on the "big screen" i.e the television ... yaay ! And that too with subtitles ! Remember what we were told last year why the serial was not shown same time same day on the TV and the internet ?? Coz it took time effort personnel whatever to "prepare" the subtitles ?? Well, what happened this time ?? Some kind of transformation ? Anyhoo, chalo maaf kiya to whoever, coz they made up big time TONITE ! 😃

Brief post coz just wanted to clarify that what I wanted to post in the morning was actually proven right on the TV. Our young Dev calls Gopiji "dai ma" and I wanted to post the word "nanny" for it but not without making sure, even though I was sure in my mind. So lo and behold, that's what the subtitle said too. Our ex-amma's character is not a blood relation with the Purohit pariwaar but that of a nanny / governess, perhaps ever since both the brothers were born in the storyline. And obviously a good and kind-hearted nanny. Talk about one transformation after another !

So the stage has been set right off the bat to show the childhood with divine storyline which was missing in CB1. And as moi mentioned in musical / update, this will bring much deeper credibility to RaDev characters as they enter adulthood in hopefully less than 9 episodes from now ! Hope childhood scenarios are cut short or us viewers make CVs cut them short, esp coz I actually couldn't stand the cribbing / bickering of the step mother 😡 like the rest of us, and Radhika AGAIN having to suffer / bare it all silently and be goody goody all the time. 😲

So true Chamak Chalo !

Of course right now Amma looks "younger" coz of young children and even wearing a lipstick, but wait 7-8 more episodes when she will start acting even more credibly. Right now the contrast is so huge that we cant seem to digest it. Little gray hair, less eye make up etc coupled with her sweet natured character will be even more interesting.

Well Anu, somewhere I mentioned that it may not be so easy for Gopiji (dai ma i.e. nanny) to erase the impact our CB1 dadima had on us diehard viewers coz of her formidable character and acting. I wonder if there's an actual dadima in CB2, I dont recall. I do remember Rakesh Pandey being Dev's dadaji.

I guess we have to wait and watch how the story unfolds. We've only watched one episode and already trying to figure out entire storyline ! 😕 I guess we need to go slow and be patient and see how different scenarios, situations are created and depicted.

Yes, overall CVs did justice with the first episode and hope they continue the trend, not disappoint us and think before embarking on unpalatable situations.

Radev24, i really enjoy the Ist episod but Ammaji 😕 well have to wait n see. I agreed with you, hope childhood scenarios are not for longer period.....the kids are cute but can't wait to see Avina on screen 😃

Wooohooooo I am back along with Choti Bahu 2 😊 Did you miss me CB Forum😆 (anyone seen Zee Cine awards)?

Yes, it was a lovely episode but reminded me a lot about CB 1. A lot of similarities in personality traits of evil Amma transformed to Radhika's mother😕 Little Radhika's personality also seems a lot like Radhika from CB 1...quite, submissive etc. hopefully this will change b/c I sure don't want to see submissive Radhika who will take any kind of abuse from her mother...this is a no no.

Good start but I'm hoping for some new, outspoken and strong character traits especially in Radhika.

BTW, good to be back on the forum after a long time. Hopefully Zee and DJs live up to everyone's expectations. For sure Avina will 😊

Hi Suwin ! Welcome on the Forum coz I dont recall your name. Well, since it's only one episode we dont really have anything to compare it with except CB1 and hope & pray CVs, writers, editors wear their hats the right way !

Yes waiting for our AVINA with bated eyes and the jadoo they created on us fans ! I just had a thought about the SBS and other videos where young RaDev are circling around the tree and coming to the front emerge into adult AVINA, and the English thought was ~ "they go "behind" the tree and leave their childhood "behind" ! Of course pun intended ! Coz the reporter used the word "peechhe" and said "dono bachhe ped ke peeche se aate huye apna bachpana "peeche" chod aaye ! And I thought that was clever scripting ! 😉

You are right and it is going to take quite some time, me thinks, to watch CB2 and not keep comparing it with CB1 and the similarities even the subtle ones. And as far as the stepmother, I said somewhere that she does shout / scream but the harshness / rudeness hopefully doesn't seem to impact on our psyche the way amma did. Time will tell and couldn't agree more regarding Radhika. Absolutely wont be able to take submissive and jee-huzoor kind of attitude and behaviour at all. And from what we've been watching / reading that our Radhika is going to be a "confident" one and wont mince words, will be assertive etc.

And it's possible that one of the reasons CVs thought of creating childhood characters is SO THAT AS AN ADULT RADHIKA WONT TAKE THE ABUSE, IMO, as in CB1.

And for their sake I hope DJs dont just meet our expectations but exceed them.
