Recap
Taani expresses her doubts about Robi and Mauli to Onu, who tells her not to worry. Taani's haldi ceremony is on. She spots Robi trying to irritate the hell out of Mauli. Emotional Taani-Laboni scene. Episode ends with Taani confronting Robi and having Robi misinterpret her intentions all over again (Taani...Taani...why do you even try? )
Short Update
1. Shumona arrives at Laboni's house with a whole bunch of appliances for Mauli
2. Riteish insists to his lawyer that he must be let out at all costs.
3. Onu is desparate to meet Taani and takes the help of a common friend, Swaagatha, who leads her to Subodh's clinic nearby under the pretext of treating a patient.
4. Onu and Taani meet and hold hands without looking at other and gets caught. The mothers find them out and drag them home.
5. Onu gets teased by the entire family.
6. Robi drinks.
7. Shumona and Taposh conversation. Taposh terrifically angry.
Detailed Update
Part I
Laboni is poring over a few last-minute details for the wedding when she sees a number of big boxes being brought inside the house. She looks puzzled, and then Shumona arrives to tell her that these boxes are filled with appliances for Mauli. Shumona, apparantly, bought these items while shopping for Jonaki, and remembered that she hadn't been able to give Mauli anything at her wedding. Laboni looks sad and resigned, but says very little except that she needn't have done so much, yet Shumona insists (Seeing this scene made me remember some of our first impressions about Laboni: that she was a wonderful lady with a lot of love but that she did care a great deal about money...Laboni couldn't have proved us more wrong 👏 Eventually she's always advocated for love and she's always understood the complexities within relationships...it makes me say, No wonder Taani's your daughter! 😃)
The awkward moment is broken by a man who has set up the pandal but not the stage, and Laboni goes with him. Shumona takes this opportunity to meet Mauli who is chopping vegetables in the kitchen. Mauli thanks her mother, and Shumona tells her not to because this was something she wanted to be. Mauli tells her that it's not the gifts she is thanking her for, but for accepting Taposh as her damaad. Shumona disagrees and tells her that she has done this to help her daughter, not Taposh's wife.
Shumona is now busy getting the appliances to different places in the house (including a TV for Taposh's room, apparantly because "Laboni does not need a TV"...good Lord, woman, get a life! 😡) Taani sees this exchange and looks on sadly. Her phone rings, but she doesn't pick up the call, which is very obviously from Onu 😃😃 who is for all intents and purposes pacing around wondering how to get to talk to her. He says, neither family member nor friend is willing to help me out...and then realises that he can convince a friend to help.
The scene shifts to Chuhon Ke Maharaja, who is thankfully still in jail. His lawyer arrives looking like he is suffering from a severe case of Mondayria (I'd say he's suffering from the aftereffects of having a client like Riteish...dude, seriously, quite that job! For all we care Riteish can stay languishing in jail for seven janams! 😡as long as we don't have to see his face again!) The lawyer informs him that TaAnu are getting married the next day. Riteish threatens the lawyer to get him out of the jail at any cost, citing that he is a rishtedaar of the couple (Well I hope you rot and DIE in that jail! 😡😡)
Part II
Another lovely Laboni-Taani scene where they're packing Taani's clothes for the next day. Laboni tells Taani her memories of Taani right from childhood to adulthood, and Taani comforts her mother. She tells Laboni that she will be living close by and will visit often, but Laboni tells her it won't be the same, because she will be coming to her house as a Ganguly bahu. Taani and Laboni hug.
Taani's friend Swaagatha (Thank you Swaagatha for doing your bit to ensure that this scene happens...😃) visits the house. Swaagatha had stayed in the US for her Ph.D and came down for Taani's wedding, but is there to tell Taani that Subodh needs her for an urgent treatment of a patient. Laboni and Taani protest, but Swaagatha insists. Taani follows Swaagatha to the clinic, and the latter leaves her behind in a dark room and closes the door. Taani searches around for the switch, but is stopped by Onu who is hidden behind the screen. He tells her, andhera achcha hain na? Taani frowns and is about to come and drag him out the screen, when Onu tells her to stay on the other side. Why, you ask? Because Onu wants to meet her without breaking the rasm ☺️ Taani tells him that she's leaving. Onu cuts in, and then tells her that he misses her (don't miss out on the miracle that is The Voice Modulation of Harshad Chopda...his voice goes all lovely and soft and affectionate and serious all at once 😳...wah wah double wah 👏 ESPECIALLY when he says "thodaa sa waqt saath mein bithaayenge toh shaadi tak zinda rahoonga..."😍☺️) Taani gives her trademark shy lopsided smile, pulls a chair and sits close to the other side of the screen, and through the space, they hold hands...(Good Lord...isi ko kehtay hain hotness...all they were doing was holding hands but even their HANDS were oozing chemistry physics aur biology...sab kuch!! 😆 All this only from their holding of hands and the looks on their faces! And at the background is this really lovely version of the TL bg that was played only once before, when Onu applied balm on Taani's foot in November!😳)
Unfortunately, Laboni and Neelu seem determined to get a Ph.D in Kabab Mein Haddi-ology, and switch the lights on. They give a few choice words to poor Swaagatha, Laboni pulls Taani out and Neelu pulls out Onu. Neelu drags Onu back home by the ear! 🤣
The scene shifts to Thakoma checking out Onu's ear and announcing that if Neelu had pulled his ears any more than this, they would start looking like a donkey's 😆 Onu tells Thakoma that as his grandma it's her duty to take his side. Shekhar joins in and tells them not to tease Onu, and then says himself that Onu's ears have grown really long. The ribbing session continues, and Robi watches on. Robi gets memories of his time with Mauli, and of Mauli with Taposh, and starts drinking as a way of relieving himself of the pain.
Part III
Shumona is still getting the new appliances fixed into the house when Taposh enters. Shumona tells him that though he may be used to life without these things, but Mauli has always been brought up in such comforts and that because she loves Taposh she will not complain about not having them. However, Shumona wants to ensure that Mauli is happy, and has therefore decided to ensure that she gets them. The underlying insult isn't missed by Taposh (Goddd...just when things were starting to improve between Taposh and Mauli and we were starting to actually like TapLi...😕)
Taposh then sees Mauli enters the room and trying out some jewellery, and telling Taposh that she feels that slowly Shumona is starting to accept their relationship. Taposh is, however, not as happy as Mauli is, and asks her why she did this to him (Oh noooo....don't tell me today's epi will start with ANOTHER argument...😕)

8 marks for that WONDERFUL scene alone!! So far we've been getting a whole bunch of cute scenes and playful ones...most of us had been missing the passionate hatke scenes that were there pre-confession and during Ananya's godhbharai, today's scene was a WELCOME return to that 👏 If only the epi had more of TaAnu with some romantic TapLi on the side and a reformed Robi, than the rest of the characters hogging space...🤢
On the other hand...guys, after today's scene we HAVE to make sure that TaAnu get that award...only they can do such differently-written romance so well...😳 Come on guys, we MUST fight!! [/CRYPT]
