Character Sketch
Protagonists Geet Handa – The only daughther of Shasank Handa and Jaya Handa. Her mother died when she was 4 years. As the oldest and righteous heir to the Handa Companies Inc, Geet receives love and respect from her family and others. Though Geet misses the touch of a mother, she feels content with her extended family consisting of Darji, her sweet paternal grandfather, her oldest uncle, Shantanu Handa, who is a hippy bachelor, her youngest uncle, Samrat Handa who is stern and knowledgeable and his wife who is her bubbly aunt, Sheela Handa, Pari Handa and Dev Handa who are her cousins. Geet is a woman whose elegance, kindness, sweetness, righteousness, self-respective, fair and determination is often admired. She does not stand any injustice. Though she is strong, she retains her female characteristics and her innocence. She upholds her culture and religion and stands between the two words, traditional and modern.
Maan Singh Khurana – The only grandson of Savithri Devi Khurana and the son of Armaan Singh Khurana and Devki Khurana. Maan was raised by his Dadima as his parents died in a car accident. Maan was left, feeling the burden and responsibilities of taking of his family which are Dadima and his sister, Anwesha Khurana. Maan grew up to be a man of his words. Maan is a hot-tempered, arrogant, dominant, stern and fussy character. Even though his family consists almost 99% female, he thinks of women to be generally weak and dependent. He does not try to understand female and does not bother. He keeps a distance away from woman. Even so, he holds his Dadima is a very high position and loves his sister extremely.
The Handa Family
Darji Handa – He is the paternal grandfather of Geet, Pari and Dev Handa. He has three sons, Shasank, Shantanu and Samrat Handa. He is a sweet old-timer. He is knowledgeable and righteous. He cares for his family a lot.
Shasank Handa –He is the first son of Darji Handa. He was married to Jaya Handa and fathered a child in the name of Geet Handa. He is responsible, sweet, sensitive and particular in ways of life. He cares for his daughter a lot.He acknowledges that women are as strong as men. He is the current MD of Handa Companies Inc and one of the major share holders.
Shatanu Handa – He is the second son of Darji Handa. He is a flirty, modern and hippy bachelor. He is playful and humourous. He is shown to be the most care-free and relaxed sons of Darji. Even so, he can be insightful and clever in many ways. He loves his family and is protective of them. He occasionally stops by at Handa Companies Inc. as he has a certain amount of shares in the company, but he does not work full-time like his brothers.
Samrat Handa – He is the youngest son of Darji Handa. He is stern, responsible and strict. He is a straight-faced man with no-nonsense concept. He can be soft sometimes and is often teased by his brother, Shasank to be a 'zinda robot'. He works with Shasank Handa at Handa Companies Inc and is one of the major share holders.
Sheela Handa – She is the daughter-in-law of Darji and wife of Samrat Handa. She is cheerful, sweet, responsible.kind and understanding. She treats Geet as her own daughter. She knows how to control her husband well, knowing his straight-faced attitude.
Pari Handa – She is the daughter of Sheela Handa and Samrat Handa, sister of Dev Handa, cousin of Geet Handa and granddaughter of Darji Handa. She is like a younger sister to Geet. She is an almost exact replica of her mother, but she lacks responsibility and can get a little childish too.
Dev Handa – He is the son of Sheela Handa and Samrat Handa, elder brother of Pari Handa, cousin of Geet Handa and grandson of Darji Handa. He is almost like Geet's younger brother but is protective when it comes to Geet or Pari.Just like Pari, he is similar to his father. He is responsible, a bookworm and a workaholic. Even so, he is a little nave and is easily influenced by his closest friends and siblings.
The Khurana Family
Savithri Dadima – She is the mother of deceased Armaan Singh Khurana, paternal grandmother of Maan and Anwesha Khurana. She has a modern outlook on life. She is relaxed in perspective of life but is righteous and traditional in culture and heritage.
Anwesha Khurana – She is the younger sister of Maan Khurana, granddaughter of Savithri Dadima, and daughter of deceased Armaan and Devki Khurana. Having a big brother like Maan, she is spoiled to her roots. She is snotty, modern-minded and proud but she never forgets her heritage and culture. She is reckless, playful and carefree.
