As to Ayi Sahib failing to spot that her eldest daughter was walking right onto the brink, I concede that her physical, financial and mental circumstances may account for not seeing through the precocious but negative development of her daughter who had to bear the trauma of living the nightmarish plunge of her dad to death because of Damodar Patil. This may sound lofty but no mother on the face of this earth, unless they are alcoholic, suffering from severe depression or some serious ailments will ever fail to see that their young kid is developing some form of obsessive compulsive disorder. I will be generous again and grant that she may have overlooked it in Kala's childhood but how could she miss it once they were comfortably ensconced in the luxury of Patil Niwas. I mentioned in the same thread that Dutta confering the grandiose role of maternal benefactor for Patil Wadi would have contributed to a form of narcissism in AS that obliterated everything around her but the joys of witnessing a "son" that she had adopted reach such lofty financial prominence. As if Kala's perception of abandonment in childhood was not enough, Ayi Saheb, unknowingly, added insult to the grave psychological injuries that her daughter had suffered.
And hey presto, welcome to anarchy or near anarchy that we got to see in today's episode.

I guess Kavita by the time Dutta became a rich guy and AS had some time off to concentrate on her kids Kala had become adept at hiding her real feelings behind a mask. By then she had decided that the best way to get back at the perpetrators of her father's death was by bleeding Dutta continuously and see him suffer all life.
Also by then Dutta himself was thru an emotional turmoil which he barely concealed...and once again prolly AS' attention was focussed on her son who was more vocal abt his trauma.
