Ummmmmm, let's change the story a bit😉. Anjali/Rohan is Aman/Purab's offspring. Since Anjali/Rohan is very fond of Anjali Sr/Jassi (more than his/her dad) and cannot bear to see her sad he/she interferes and brings Rahul/Armaan (Anjali Sr/Jassi's true love) and Anjali Sr/Jassi together. "sacrificing" his/her father's life does this "great deed". Such pathos😭!!!
