So, i'm glad i waited till tonight before i wrote this piece. Y'day, i was all apprehensive after i watched Naku trying to get into her Mrs. Don avatar. But her thoughts as she donned Dutta's coat put my fears to rest. It is so difficult for us to believe that the meek slumdweller has turned into a superhero. But then, hasn't Naku always been a package of surprises? I mean, she's never done what we expect her to do. This is what has intrigued Dutta time and again. This is why she is the one for him too. He's impulsive, she's unpredictable. And even when she tortures us with her Bappa chant, she's always proved that she's a woman of action. Right from the cliff scene to taking the bullet meant for Dutta, and now safeguarding her husband's name and honour. To those who feel she's become an unbelievable character, what would you rather have her do? Sit at home and pray/weep? Be the ever patient, sacrificing wife? Dutta is larger than life. It's only natural that his wife is following in his footsteps. She's been his shadow all along, now she's come out to save her people. Any other woman would've been burnt by the flame of Dutta's brilliance, but Nakusha's molded herself in the flame of his love, and she's turned to gold. I preach the value of independence in love, but not for this tale. These two are practically one. They are the stuff passionate, legendary fairy tales are made of. They've remained incomplete, broken and lonely for ages, they've fought themselves and the world trying not to change, but love hit them, like a train. And things have never been the same ever since.
Okay, there were certain OTT scenes today. Naku's don act, at places, had me giggling. And so did Kala's designer white blouse. And the smugness on her face. Oh boy, can't wait for Dutta to be back!
There's a word for people like AS. She believes in Naku, yeah, only when it suits her! So now Naku is the villian again. Naku has had people question her integrity every time, be it AS, Baji or Dutta. It's time she retaliated.
Coming to Dutta, siiiiigh, i had vowed that i wouldn't write another post until the cvs gave me a solid Tasha scene. Having Tasha lost in each other's memory is the next best thing. When i said that i wanted Dutta dwn on his knees asking for naku's forgiveness, i didn't think it'd really happen. Today's Tasha scene, esp the dialogues between the song were heartwrenching. Dutta's echoing all our thoughts. He never realized her worth when she was beside him, and now that he's blind, all he wants to see is her. It's beautiful, that he hears her the same way she sees him. The faith they have in each other is just amazing! I've cursed the writers for giving me all the heartbreak. But now, i have to thank them for what i've learnt. Sometimes, you need to make mistakes, hate and get hurt, before you grow into the person you were meant to be. And if you arelucky enough, the love that puts you through all these also holds you safe as you finally become the person who loves, and is loved in equal parts.
To Dutta and Nakusha, who have grown together, inspite every barrier that separates them. It's time now, for a reunion!
Hey Liz,đ
Good to see you back...Our Dutta' knee jerking tears can not possibly leave anyone indifferent. We cry with him and even applaud him when he takes up the cause of love in his own warped way. But what to do, he is the Dutta you love, the Dutta who fascinates me for the myriad of emotions that one man is able to portray at one go.
To come back to your post...I am still in two minds about Nakusha's don'esque avatar but then I also make amend for my disbelief by balancing her reactions in relation to her unmatched equation when if comes to living her livewire emotions in consensue with Dutta in her mind at all times. You may be right about seeking refuge or reassurance by donning the coat. But the revolver bit was OTT . The last thing we want to see is a gun wielding Nakusha roaming Patil Wadi. She is, actually, doing more harm to herself and will convince her detractors that she may have sub-layers that has been hidden from all which is not an issue by itself but for the fact that she needs to sort out the more pressing problems on the homefront especially Kala. Also, why sideline Baaji...Is'nt it time she informed Baaji about Kala's involvement and continuous threats.
As for AS, I just cannot fathom her oscillations. How can she just accuse Naku again. Doesn't she indulge in enough contemplation of the Almighty to know that no woman on earth (at least the likes of Naku) would ever endure the hardships of the Vat Savitri Vrat to pray for her husband's safe return and wellbeing. I no longer ever associate her to the BH anymore as I feel that this is just not possible but her irrational reactions irk me very badly.
As to the last part on the Tasha scene, and their growing together, What more shall I add but the beauty of oneness after having gone through the fires of hell. It is a one of a kind love that makes you crave for more.
See you around,
