Sonu has earned what he is today out of long years of hardwork.He realises the importance of promoting quality in this age of marketing.He isnt doing it for a randomly selected candidate in the contest.Karunya, unquestionably deserves it.Infact I thought being such a celebrity he didnt hide it from public that he carried a letter from a fan to Karunya and you call him a 'new postman' here?If it were one of us and he didnt do it...it wud have been bashing in other form that kitna arrogant hai...khud keliye nahi tha isliye usne letter nahi diya...

I genuinely have high regards for Sonu.He helps with his bit for all upcoming singers by either giving them an opportunity in his stage shows or patronising them in some form or helping them improve their knowledge in music.It is very rare to have people like him who remain rooted after reaching celebrity status.Please refrain from ridiculing such achievers.Thankyou.

i have actually met sonu nigam in real life...

few years back....

i didnt find him so down to earth and genuine as he seems on screen. I found him quite rude and ignorant (how i personally feel).

Note: NO OFFENCE TO ANY SONU NIGAM FANS !

I noticed that although the celebs present were all for Karunya - the audience was more for Sandeep. Although I am a Karunya supporter I did feel bad for Sandeep yesterday - but felt that the fact that Sony had brought in Karunya supporters as celebs says something. I think they are trying to grasp at final straws and give Karunya a boost. However - Sandeep supporters this may not be a bad thing for Sandeep - as people do tend to vote for the underdog.
Also - Sonu has always been a staunch supporter of Karunya. So why not allow him to show his support any which way he can - he is human too!!!!! We have seen that the judges haven't really been able to sway the audiences - so why worry!!!

you have no right to judge people of this forum in sayind that we are ruled by ONLY emotions. We all love music too. but what can we do.... WE ARE HUMAN AT THE END OF THE DAY - and sensitivity does come with humanity.

yeah true... sonu has always supported karunya! but did praise sandeep too when he deserved to be praised! and did bring out his faults when it was necessary.

There is nothing wrong Sonu Nigam praising THE BEST contestant and making the public support noticeable to rest od the public who cannot see how Talented Karunya is. I really appreciated Sonu Nigam mentioning the Arabian couple sending 23500 to KARUNYA.

Sandeep is a good singer and he has improved a lot but he is nowhere near Karunya. If we have to chose the Best, I would chose Karunya because he deserves the title more than Sandeep. One perfect example is that Sandeep Chowte's song sang by Karu and Sandeep. Karu's song was full of emotions and it made everyone cry.

So the essence of the story is that its OK to boost Karunya: be it supported messages or judges comments.
