Moving on from billionaires to our humdrum daily soaps. Looks like Star's Millie is finally reaching its logical end. So long, farewell to the football playing aggressive protagonist who I think definitely stands out from the current lot of stars.
Gawd knows why Sony's Jassi Jaise Kohin Nahiin (Could he @ least SPELL it properly!? 😡) is hanging around on the small screen. It looks like, the story is never gong to end. In the current plot, Armaan's (Apurva Agnihotri's) real life wife Shilpa Saklani is breathing her last. Now it seems she has left behind Armaan's love child with Jassi. Well, actually the father of the child is not Armaan but someone else in the serial. Now, how could Shilpa be so confused? If you're desperate enough to want to find out, start watching Jassi again.
Meanwhile, on Kahiin to Hoga, we have a richie rich billionaire (played by Tinu Anand) who is forever either having a bath with a bevy of beauties in a tub full of roses; or getting massaged with a skin enhancing pack on his face… This week, I found it rather funny when Anand actually invited Kashish for a bath with him. Gawd, the weird suds these soaps spew out…
Meanwhile, the news channels really went berserk over the wardrobe malfunctions at the recently held Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai. As has been repeated a million times on all the news channels, a model's sequined top came loose while she walked the ramp.
There was even an official inquiry into the whole business. And for what? To probe whether the designers and models coming unstuck had anything to do with ulterior designs aimed at the heart of our societal mores. Finally, it all ended on a happy note with Maharashtra home minister RR Patil issuing an official statement, "We have conducted an inquiry and found out a hook came off and the models took care to cover themselves up. So, it seems it was not deliberate but was purely an accident."
This is one story the funny side of which got me hook, line and sinker.
