'Dabangg' in Tamil, Telugu

South filmmakers nag Arbaaz Khan to sell them the rights of the action flick.

Till now Salman Khan was upbeat about doing South remakes. Suddenly the tables have turned, and many South Indian producers are queuing up outside Salman's house with the intent of procuring the rights of 'Dabangg' for a South remake. But producer Arbaaz Khan is no mood of negotiations right now. He is taking his time, and waiting for the right price.

Apparently, before 'Dabangg', it was only Aamir Khan starrer '3 Idiots' that got a huge response from South filmmakers. But with Dabangg being an all-out action flick, the South fraternity wishes to bag the movie at any cost, with the hope that they can weave much into the subject matter and cater to the taste of South Indian audiences.

Arbaaz Khan confirmed that South producers have approached him for the rights, but he wishes to maintain creative control over the movie and will be involved even in the South remake. Arbaaz maintains that Dabangg is extremely close to his heart and he will not have anyone twist and turn it according to their likes and dislikes. He'd in fact ensure that the sensibilities of the movie are adhered to. So, for the time being Arbaaz is sitting pretty. Up the bids, people!
