Veena Malik burst into tears

Controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik after returning to Pakistan defended herself against allegations of indecency and offensive performance in the Indian TV reality show Bigg Boss-4. The actress wept on a live TV show and said, she was accountable to god and not to clerics (mullahs).

Veena was grilled by the anchor and a religious cleric on Pakistan's Express News channel's Frontline show hosted by Kamran Shahid.

Veena had been the target of criticism from conservative sections of society, both in Pakistan and in India, for her daring, baring performance in Bigg Boss-4, by hugging, kissing, and according to one TV channel, engaging in a sexual act with her colleague Ashmit Patel.

Veena and a religious cleric were both invited to the talk show to discuss whether she carried herself decently in Bigg Boss-4. The cleric invited to the show condemned her saying she had tarnished the images of both Pakistan and Islam. . On the show, the cleric accused Veena of committing immoral acts, though he called her a sister and worth respect.

Veena stoutly defended herself by first clarifying that she was an entertainer and not a representative of Pakistan or Islam. She reminded the cleric that accusing her was not an act of decency as well. As the cleric admitted that he personally had not seen the show and only heard from others that Veena was committing indecency, the actress reminded her that, being a Muslim man, he was bound by religion not to cast a second glance at her because that was forbidden in Islam.

Veena also told the cleric that he comes from a community where young children who come to learn at religious schools are subjected to indecent sexual acts. She said the cleric was targeting her only because she was a woman. She also reminded the cleric that she was accountable to god, not to clerics.

The show ended with Veena wiping her tears off and the host explaining that the purpose of the show was to highlight a controversial issue of importance.

Regardless of what she did or what. I like her responses to the cleric.

Finally women are trying to speak for themselves instead of saying "Ji" to everything.

I never like Veena but I really like her responses if they are true.

She is such a nautanki, she is probably feeling good she is getting cheap publicity. I watched the show where she got interviewed and "attacked". Honestly, she attacked others, she kept shouting and shouting totally unnecessarily and then cried her crocodile tears as usual. She's such a waste of space.

Oh, and about the cleric. She was totally disrespectful towards him; he was perfectly nice to her and only said how her actions are seen keeping religion in mind but she kept shouting at him and never let him talk. To be honest with you, the cleric was way too soft and nice to her. They should've brought one who had treated the wy she deserves to be treated and talked to her like she deserves.
