😕 It is so sad that a Bollywood film has never won a Oscar in the category of "Best Foreign Film." Why has this been the case? We know Oscar voters are turned off by musicals, but I fail to understand why a movie like Peepli Live is not being submitted for consideration this year. Peepli Live was a hit, critically acclaimed, and is from the best Khan himself (Aamir Khan). Still, My Name is Khan got considered instead of Peepli Live.

Only two films have been nominated for the Oscar, Mother India and Lagaan. Slumdog Millionaire won the Oscar, but it is a British film and not from Bollywood! Is a Bollywood film ever going to win an Oscar?
