Best known as the 'Antakshari' host, Annu Kapoor is all excited about his new film, SAAT KHOON MAAF. After AITRAAZ, this is Annu's first film where his role is noticed by the audience. He did a couple of films after AITRAAZ, but due to improper publicity no one even knows about those movies.
Annu is in all praise for director Vishal Bhardawaj. He thinks Vishal is a brilliant filmmaker who has complete knowledge about filmmaking. SAAT KHOON MAAF is a woman-centric film where the lead, played by Priyanka who weds, beds and kills her seven spouses. Annu is playing one of them. He didn't have any qualms about working in a movie where the protagonist is a female because he was more interested in the role he was offered.
Annu Kapoor is always known for his straightforward attitude. Apparently, Priyanka denied doing steamy scenes with him. Annu feels in Bollywood, talent doesn't count, what matters is what position you are at. He said, "I was told that she had reservations doing steamy scenes with me but that did not bother me at all. Nevertheless, she felt comfortable doing some hot scenes with the others! This clearly proves one thing that if I were a hero - a ham artiste or even a lousy actor things would have been different."
Even Annu cared less about which actress would play his wife in SAAT KHOON MAAF. He was more focused about how to portray his role perfectly. About this, Annu replied, "I wasn't bothered who was playing my wife whether it was Priyanka or Paris Hilton!"
The reason Priyanka spoke to the media about her denial for doing bold scenes with Annu Kapoor was that she wasn't comfortable doing such scenes with a veteran actor. But the promos of the film shows Priyanka getting intimate with Naseeruddin Shah.
Now, that's double standards. Do you have an answer for this Priyanka?
