for who would love a beast?
Watched Beauty and the Beast(again!)
Ever since LTL, I can't help but draw parallels everytime i watch it. I'm glad they chose to recreate it so beautifully! Now that we have our Naku breaking the spell cast on Dutta, we're almost at the stage where he turns from beast into man. The journey has been so rewarding. Try watching the old videos, you'll know how much he's changed from the raging beast, haunted by the horrors of his past. He was like a caged animal, trying to escape his own fate, and in the process he'd locked himself up in a dark chamber. She dared to trespass, and refused to cower down in front of him. The more i think of it, the more it makes sense. The Seema chapter is indeed the final step in his transformation. Why does he need someone to tell him what he feels, you might ask? Don't you see, he loves Nakusha wholeheartedly. But for him to proclaim it to himself, to accept this love without pride or ego, as chastely and humbly as Naku loves him, he needs this chastening. The last vestiges of his pride, and all his prejudices will fall and shatter as he lets love fill him. He will realize that the woman he placed on a pedestal isn't perfect, but that she personifies love of a different kind. He will see the world through her eyes, learn what it is to forgive and to let go. To open himself to hurt and pain and yet go on loving. This will be the lesson he learns, that love can obliterate every sign of hatred. Dutta will return, as a man, who has learnt to love, and also learnt to live.
