I agree, this was good. Slight inconsistencies but they can be overlooked, I think.

It's inspired by the character of Perry Mason who was a lawyer

I LOVED IT! Combo of lawyer and detective is more interesting! Its like Perry Mason and many TV show lawyers in Law and Order.
