Written Update: December 7th

Short Update:

• Smriti and Faiba talk where Faiba tries to convince Smriti that she still has rights in the house and she should make use of them, but Smriti refuses, saying that she doesn't want to come in between Purva and Mihir.
• A proposal comes for Shalaka, and the entire family is excited. Kamini refuses to let Smriti help out with preparations, saying that she doesn't want problems to arise for her daughter in her future relationships. And Smriti agrees.
• The Mehta Parivaar comes over and they finalize Shalaka's wedding with the son, and the wedding is within one week!
• Akaashi sees how Shamad is really making an effort to be a good husband and a good son.
• Mihir gets the invitation cards for the wedding, and tells everyone to start writing them, and some teasing of Shalaka happens, but Smriti is not allowed to write, she's not a member of the family.
• Purva and Smriti talk where Purva tries to convince Smriti to get a divorce from Karan so Kamini will not have an issue with Smriti being married to someone else, but Smriti refuses, saying that she thinks Karan should get another chance, and that she won't divorce him. And she yells at Purva.
• Precap: Kamini Faiba talking and Smriti listening in where they try to poison Smriti's mind against Purva by saying that Purva will kick Prem out of the house in the future.
  

Part 1:

Smriti walking into the storeroom thinking about how Purva was not feeling well. Faiba comes inside right then, and says her famous dialogue. Then she begins, I was so crazy right, and I thought something else. You shouldn't live here, all secretively. You should live where you are supposed to live, in Mihir's room. Smriti says that she's happy Faiba forgave her but she has no right on anything in the house anymore, and Faiba thinking that at least she has some sense still left in her. Then Faiba starts, it must be very difficult right, being so close to Mihir but still so far away from him, not having your own son call you Ma. And Smriti laughs, saying that she doesn't feel like that, she is just happy to have gotten an another chance to be with her son, and Purva and Mihir are perfect for each other. Faiba asks her if she ever thought about herself. And Smriti says that she doesn't have to think herself, Purva is there to think of everyone, and that she'll never get in between MiRva. Faiba internally rolling her eyes as she tells Smriti to go to sleep. Faiba thinking that Kamini was right, breaking the bond between the sisters will be extremely difficult.

Next day morning everyone is assembled at the dining table, when Mihir gets a phone call. Once he hangs up, he looks really happy, and says that some family is coming to see Shalaka that day, and everyone looks really really happy, and Shalaka starts blushing (Who knew?😆) Purva says she'll take care of everything and Smriti says yeah, she'll help her Purva di, and she'll tke care of everything in the kitchen. Kamini and Faiba look at each other and Kamini says that the issue this time is about Shalaka, her future, and they want to fix this relationship because of the name and fame of the Sanghvis, and I don't want her relationship to be jinxed because of you. So when they come here, I don't want to see you around. The Mehta parivaar will never agree if they find out that both of the wives of the son live under the same roof. Smriti says she agrees and doesn't want any problems to come in Shalaka's relationship. I promise, anything that you don't like won't happen, and she leaves from the table. Mihir looks at this shocked, and asks Kamini why she's doing this. Faiba steps in, and says that think about your sister for once, and before Mihir can say anything else, Purva stops him. Faiba thinks that Smriti will leave getting really fed up with all the insults.

Part 2:

An old man is saying to everyone that from now on they will be samdhis, and everyone is all laughing and smiling and Kamini gives everyone sweets. Kamini sits down and says that she didn't think that everything would be decided so quickly, and Shalaka's future MIL says that everything is in the hands of God, and that Shalaka is just perfect for their son. Kamini asks when they're planning the wedding and the FIL says that they don't want Shalaka away for so long, the wedding will be next week. And the guy looks so cute and shy (aww Shalaka's getting a cute husband). Mihir says that isn't it too soon, and the MIL says that their son has to go back to the US within two weeks and he won't get a vacation until a year afterwards, and so they want to make Shalaka their bahu ASAP. Mihir looks to Kamini and Faiba and they both tell him to agree, and everyone is really happy. Smriti is watching everyone from upstairs, hiding in a corner.

Shamad coming inside the house with a whole lot of boxes, and Akaashi upstairs thinking why he's not home yet. Right then she hears some clicking and walks out to see Shamad taking all the boxes and a bag (I'm assuming filled with rice and vegetables) and putting them near the kitchen. Akaashi thinking how Shamad is doing his best to be a good husband and a son. And she watches as Shamad puts everything away and then comes to sit down and work on his homework. (Aww!) Akaashi goes downstairs and tells him to study later, and that she'll serve him some food. And they both have an epicly cute moment J

Mihir opens a box filled with invitation cards, and everyone is passing them around (Akaashi and Anokhi are there too) and everyone is teasing Shalaka. Mihir asks Faiba to be the first to write on the card as she is the oldest and she does so, and everyone is then supposed to begin writing. Smriti comes outside right then with a tray of food, and Mihir seeing her, asks her to write cards with everyone else too. However, Kamini interrupts and says that No, Smriti can't take part in this, and Purva asks why not? She's a part of this family too, she has the right to. Kamini says that she was a part of the family, but not anymore, she's married to someone else, and Smriti agrees, saying that Kamini is right, only members of the family take part and she's not a part of the family. Akaashi and Anokhi look disturbed (probably thinking that they aren't members of the family either…..i don't get how that makes any sense). Mihir looks mad, and Smriti leaves.

Part 3:

Smriti walks back into the storeroom looking depressed and Purva comes behind her, and apologizes, Smriti stops her from apologizing, saying that Kamini was right, that she can't take part in these like a family member. That she has accepted this truth, and it's better if Purva herself understands that. Purva gets angry, a house is made up of the people and you have a right on everyone, on me, on Prem. Smriti says that she doesn't know whats right or wrong, but its better if she just stays away, there's no other option. And Purva screams that yes! There is another option. If this marriage is the cause of all her problems, she has to end it, divorce Karan. Smriti looks shocked. Purva continues that no one will be able to say anything, she should break her fake relationship to save all her real ones. Smriti gets mad and says that she won't divorce Karan, and Purva tells her to shut up. The man who gave you tears, who gave you pain, you want to continue staying with him? What's going on in your mind? Smriti says that that one second made karan a completely changed person, and she had a moment like that too, when she became Aastha from Smriti. She wants to give her marriage another chance, karan another chance. Karan has the right to get another chance. And Purva asks her about them, none of them have any right on her? Smriti, for the first time, yells at Purva, asking her why she doesn't understand, if she says she won't divorce Karan, she won't divorce him, and Purva is left in tears.

Precap:

Smriti is listening to Kamini and Faiba who are sitting around, and Kamini saying that there's no way that Purva will ever not like Smriti or Prem. And Faiiba says that it's all an act, how long will a woman love someone else's child, until they themselves don't have their own kid. An outside is an outside. Purva wants to be relieved of Prem's duties, she wants a kid of her own. Faiba says that she knows a woman's heart, that one day, Purva will hold Smriti's hand in front of everyone and tell her to leave the house with her son. (The entire time, Kamini and Faiba know that Smriti is there and obviously are making all this up)

Comments:

Well, this was definitely an interesting episode I must say, especially where we can all see the strain that is now present and gradually growing in the Smriiti-Purva relationship. In my opinion though, I see both sisters points of views at this current moment of time. Irrespective of who I want to be with Mihir, it really is sad to have to see this amazing sisterly bond breaking and this Faiba is getting me so angry.

Beyond all that though, it's just simply WRONG that Faiba and Kamini create such false lies against Purva, especially about Purva not loving Prem. But let's see how Smriti takes it.....
