The days followed in that pattern for some days and Geet started to become an integral part of the office and everyone in it except, Sasha and her blind follower Tasha. Sasha didn't like Geet as she had noticed of late that Maan always paid extra attention to whatever Geet either suggested or did and she had her own designs regarding MSK.

It was one month after Geet had started out to work with KC, the whole office was in an uproar as no one could find an important file which Msk was asking for again and again, Adi, Pinky Sasha, Tasha and everybody else were at their wits end.

Maan was screaming at everybody, "What has happened to my office, u all cannot find a single file for me, how am I supposed to go for the meeting without it?"

"Sir, I think Geet will be able to tell the whereabouts of the file," Adi tentatively said in a very weak voice.

"Why Geet, she doesn't even belong to that department so she won't be able to say anything about it, Is she a spy or what that she will be able to locate the file whereas we haven't been able to do so for such a long time?" Sasha exclaimed on hearing Adi's comment.

"She might not be from the deptt, but she knows where Maan sir's almost all files are kept, she is the one who has been filing them whenever a file has been misplaced," Adi replied.

"Is she a secretary or interior designer"? Sasha retorted back.

"She might be an interior designer but she helps everybody whenever we have been in a jam and so almost all of us tell her our problems and so she knows where the files are kept, what is the harm in asking her once?" Adi persisted.

Maan had been listening to this bickering between Adi and Sasha; he came to know of many things that he hadn't been aware of, now he intervened,

"Where is Geet? Why isn't she in the office?"

"Sir," Pinky spoke up, "She has her lecture in her university today in the first half, she had written down her schedule and put it on Ur desk on Monday."

Maan remembered that he had seen the handwritten schedule that had been addressed to him; he nodded, "so when does she come in?"

"It is almost time now, today is Wednesday, so she will come at 12.30pm and it is about time, she is very punctual." Adi replied.

" Mk, I don't think that she will be able to find the file, let me lookup the records of our details in the computer, I know I will be able to find a duplicate of the agreement that we had with the client and our internal documents also, the only thing is it will take a little time, I'll go right now."

Maan nodded and looked at the clock, Sasha went up to him and touched his arm, "MK trust me, I will solve Ur problem," so saying she left the room with Tasha.

"All of u back to work, and help Sasha with the records." Maan dismissed all of them.

Geet entered the office and saw everyone very tense, she went up to Adi and Pinky and both of them rushed towards her as soon as they saw her.

"Geet we are so doomed," pinky who was prone to theatrics started to say, Adi stopped her, "The girl has just walked in let her catch her breath."

"What happened Pinky; tell me, "Geet became worried looking at their expressions.

"Maan sir is in very bad temper, we are unable to find a file from the HR Deptt. No one knows where it is kept and who had last handled it, so we don't know what to do". Adi told her.

"Should I go and talk to Maan Sir?" Geet asked.

"Don't go Geet, he will scream at u too," pinky held on to Geet's arm.

"I should try to help, what is the name of the file Adi Sir?"

"It is a very confidential file, it deals with recruitment and salary structure of KC, and Maan Sir needs it before going for the meeting as he intends to take over that firm."

Geet started walking without another word towards MSK's cabin.

"Geet'''Geet''..", Adi called but she didn't respond and kept walking.

Sasha saw the incident and said to Tasha, "Might be this girl has done something with the file to prove her importance, let me finish this work then I'll put the idea into Mk's mind."

Geet knocked on MSK's cabin door and entered, "Good Afternoon Sir", she said.

Maan looked up but didn't say anything. Geet went in and looked around before closing the door. She went straight to the walnut cabinet and pulled open a drawer and took out a key and then stood beside Msk, "Can u move ur chair a little bit Maan Sir, I need to open this drawer on ur desk".

Maan was very surprised with her actions, but he did as she said and Geet kneeled at the corner of the desk and opened the drawer there with the key and took out one of the files kept there and handed it to MSK.

Maan was very surprised to see that it was the very file that he and everybody in the office was looking for, and without stopping to think about it he scolded Geet,

"So u are the culprit who had kept the file here and made us all worry about it?"

"No, Sir, it was u who had kept the file here on Monday, u had asked for the file and Shruti had brought it to u and then before leaving the office u had kept the file in that drawer, I saw this as I had come in to give u my schedule, u were talking over the phone while keeping it and so it might have slipped from ur mind", Geet quietly replied back.

Instantly Maan remembered the incident. At that moment Sasha knocked and came in, she saw the file in Mk's hands and rounded on Geet, "So u misplaced it, admit it, anyway what were u doing with the file, this doesn't concern u''''.".

Maan started to say something to Sasha, but then Geet interrupted and said, "Sasha Mam, I hadn't taken the file but I had seen it in this particular cabinet, so I just came and handed it to Maan sir,Its nobody's fault actually, Everybody must have missed it while searching."

Maan was stunned; she hadn't told Sasha that he himself had kept the file there, He went on looking at Geet with wonder. Sasha who didn't know the reason why Mk was looking at Geet thought that he was looking in this manner becoz she had found the file and she rushed to put her plan into action,

"Mk, this girl is very cunning, she must have herself kept the file somewhere and now is increasing her importance by finding it for u", Sasha sent a very venom filled look towards Geet.

Geet showed no reaction to either her look or her comment and turned towards Maan, "Sir, iam sorry if I have created any inconvenience for u, had I known before coming to the office that u were looking for it then, I would have called u up and told u where it was kept. If that's all then I will go to my cabin sir".

MSK just nodded, he was still constantly looking at her. Geet went out and went to her cabin. Maan realized that Sasha was continuously saying something even then and that he hadn't heard anything that she had told him. He raised his hand to stop her,

"Sasha I need to go throught the file and polish up on my offer, so please go and look into the Faridabad project, we have a meeting with the clients today at 5pm. See that the blueprints are all in order."

Sasha gave a half smile and went out.

Maan looked towards the glass partition and watched, he saw that Geet was already at her drawing board.

He picked up the phone and dialed her extension number and watched as she walked back to the desk and picked up her phone.

"Hello"

"Hello, Geet this is Maan S.Khurana here".

"Hello sir", Geet looked towards the partition; Maan immediately straightened and looked away.

"Did u need something Sir?"

"Yes, actually no'..i wanted to ask u something'''''"

"I know sir what u want to ask me, u want to know why I didn't tell Sasha Mam that u had kept the file in the drawer and forgotten abt it."

Maan was taken aback; he was at a loss for words, "Yes'"

"Sir, it is very necessary that an office head be always respected by every one of his employees and so after scolding everyone if someone would have come to know that u had kept the file then they might talk about it among themselves which is not right as u hadn't done it on purpose."

"OK, ere'''."

"U don't have to thank me sir, I know I did the right thing and''''."

"Geet finish up the balcony and show me the drawings'''.." Saying this Maan kept the phone down.

Geet shrugged, "I can never understand the man, one minute he is so thoughtful and quiet and the next moment he blasts like a furnace, Chodo ji," she also turned back to her work.

It was late in the evening when Maan came back from the meeting for which he had needed the file. Very few people were left in the office as it was past 6.30pm. Maan went to his cabin and rang the bell for Ashok babu, he was feeling exhausted and wanted to have a cup of coffee, but after waiting for sometime Ashok babu didn't come to his cabin, he then decided to go to the cafeteria which was on the 1^st floor of his office, as soon as he rounded the corner of the corridor, he could hear Geet's laughter. He entered the cafeteria and turned the corner towards the kitchen and stopped, Geet was sitting on top of the island which was in the centre of the kitchen, Adi was standing with his back to the door and Pinky was sitting on a chair near Geet.

"'''''''and u know he handed me this sheet of paper and a rose, I asked him what is this but he just turned so red I felt really sorry for the boy," Geet was saying, she was laughing and gesturing and swinging her legs too.

"So did u accept his proposal?" Pinky asked.

"Are u crazy'..he was just infatuated, do u think he knows the meaning of love'''..Adi sir' what do u''..", Saying so she turned towards Adi and faced the door and saw MSK standing there. She jumped down from the island top,

"Maan Sir''''.when did u come'''''we were''.. I was''''.."

Maan held up a hand, he looked at Adi, "What are u all doing here, if ur work is finished, then why haven't u left and if there is some work left to do then, why are u all wasting ur time like this''''?"

"Maan Sir we are waiting for Ashok bab'''''''." Geet started to explain but Maan again silenced her with a look and pointedly looked towards Adi.

"Sir, Ashok babu has gone to bring the cartridge for the printer and so we are unable to print anything form that big printer, all the blue prints which are need for the grand opening are saved in that computer, and so we thought to take a coffee break and came here". Adi replied.

"So have u had ur coffee?" Maan asked.

"Sir, Geet is preparing some, would u care to have some?"Adi asked.

"No, tell Ashok babu to prepare coffee for me and bring it to my cabin, he knows how to prepare coffee exactly as I want," he said this looking towards Geet and turned and went away.

Geet pouted, she was very angry, "Why did Maan Sir, behave in such a way with me, didn't let me speak, didn't listen to anything that I had to say and denied to have coffee made by me'''.so rude", she huffed. "I'll never prepare coffee again for him, let him have Ashok babu's coffee".

At that moment Ashok babu entered and gave Adi the cartridge that he had been sent to bring. "Geet beta if ur making coffee plz make one cup extra for Chote Sahab also, he will be asking for his evening coffee", Ashok babu requested.

"No, iam going on strike, I'll not prepare coffee for him or anyone but myself and my loyal friends".

"But beta what will I say to him when he asks?" Ashok babu was horrified, "The first day u yourself asked me not to tell him that u had made the coffee and now he is addicted to ur coffee only, now if I prepare coffee for him, he will immediately notice the difference, u know he is very perspective, on top of that I don't know how to make coffee, I am a tea person, what do I do?" Ashok babu wailed.

"Just add sugar and coffee powder to milk that's all, there is nothing special in making good coffee."Saying this Geet started to go from the kitchen but then she looked at the face of Ashok babu and relented. "OK, I'll help u to make the coffee but u will learn how to make it as from now on u will be making AB's coffee", she said.

"Who's AB"? both Pinky and Adi asked together. "Maan Sir?", Adi asked, "Amitabh Bacchan Because he is so tall?"

"No, Akbar Badshah, becoz he always hukkum chalata raheta hai". Geet informed them and they dissolved into laughter. Geet then instructed Ashok babu on the quantities of milk and sugar and coffee and waited until he had poured the coffee into MSK's cup, then all three of them left for their work places carrying Geet's prepared coffee. Maan watched them as they worked in easy harmony with each other, Pinky helping both Adi and Geet and Geet showing Adi the completed sketches as they came out of the printer. Just then Ashok babu came in with his coffee cup and put it in front of him. Maan was surprised to see only one cup of coffee in place of the usual pot which Ashok babu used to keep on top of the hot plate daily for him to have later on.

"What happened Ashok babu, only one cup, isn't there any coffee left?"

Ashok babu started to grumble and say things in a very low undertone.

"What are u saying, plz speak up, I can't hear a word that u r saying", Maan said.

Ashok babu took a deep breath and said, "I have worked for so long along with u, and I know u'll forgive an old man's silly mistake."

"What is the matter, Ashok babu, u can tell me, there is no one here now", Maan told him in a very soft assuring voice thinking what might be the problem as for so long Ashok babu had never done something wrong.

"This is the first cup of coffee that I have ever made for u, all the other cups were prepared by someone else." He said this in a rush.

"OK, why didn't u tell me this earlier and who had made my coffee for so long?" Maan was very surprised.

"Geet madam prepared Ur coffee for so many days and she had asked me not to tell u the first day as u had been very angry on her in the kitchen, but u had wanted coffee and the machine wasn't working, so she had prepared it for u and told me not to take her name. Plz don't be angry on her as she didn't do so with any ulterior motive in her mind, otherwise someone else would have made me tell u their name when u started to have it daily, but she let me have the praise."

Maan just kept on looking at him for some time.

"So, why are u telling me this today?" he asked shifting his attention to the file which was open on his desk in front of him.

"She refused to prepare Ur coffee from today, she said she has gone on coffee strike but helped to teach me to prepare this cup of coffee saying from now on I'll be making Ur coffee for u."

A small smile escaped Maan's lips, but he rightened his face immediately and said," ok u can go".
