But the SR episode aired in North America last nite and thebackground song WE got to hear was "THE TITLE TRACK!"

No Satrangi rey for us.

So there were sections when the RBO song played for Sam and Rahul

I just got of the FB thread where this was being mentioned

So Doc, Vandu, already hum logon ne RBO song ke saath new pair ka visuals dekh liya

hey aditee...I don't think this is a copyright issue at alll....becuase copyright is a territorial right- if they had no problems playing it on Indian TV (where the copyright is registered) they will have no probls playing it in US>..

The reason this happened is I think a time issue- when they bank episodes--- for international subsidiary telecast---- they probably bank it without complete editing----because of 'time' factor---- then the episodes are sent for international telecast---

OR of course, the producers and the TV company has a very wierd understanding of intellectual property laws...which is many many times the case.....and thought they cannot play it with the song in abroad mkts becos "abroad so strict abt copyright" without realising the nuance of the law....

🤣🤣 I posted this comment in DT few mins ago.... 🤣
I was so surprised.. like what the heck.. 😆😆😆... and it totally didn't jive with the scenes.. LMAO.. the lyrics for Sam and Rahul.. totally didn't jive with the situation.

I loved RBO title track.. but Satrangi Ree is a better fit for all of the situations in the song for all four of them.

I don't think it is anything to do with copyrights issues.. has happened more than once with other shows.. it is all in the editing.

Exactly, Veena- this has less to do with copyright and more to do with editing.

Another thought occured to me ...when they do contracts or agreements for ;international telecasts or broadcasts' they probably have a clause ---which says 'not to interfere with intellectual property laws abroad" and they follow this to the TTTTTT...in the sense,,,,they think if there is a copyrighted aspect to the show, they are better off removing it before it is broadcasted abroad...

again without realising the nuance...the actual understanding of the law...TOOOPID PHOOLS ...

no, no..I'm pretty sure it is copyrights. There's some law about overseas copyrights or something..When it happened for Geet, one of the crew cleared our doubts of why the title track was being used instead of the song.

ahh must be because why go thru the extra work to over ride the song with the RBO song.. gosh that is so not cool!!

exactly, it's like doing double work for them.
I know! it's bad for the crew that edits AND for us viewers that live overseas.

😕 sad....

I know what you are talking about...last night I had a conversation with Vandana and we mutually agreed that the title track was sacred for Shanak and should be reserved for them....

And I guess it would have seemed out of place for a love making sequence.

Anyway if it was real bad...go have a shot of some old scenes Aditi...will def gets your spirits up
