Isn't marriage more than a legal certificate. I know a lot of people with marriage certificates who don't really have a marriage. Conversely there are those without the paper who are committed partners - some of whom cannot marry (gay, previous spouse refuses to grant divorce etc.)
They may not be legally or even religiously married (though with the mandap and next day pooja - there are obviously at least two religious leaders who accept them as such) but have they each taken on the commitment of marriage in their hearts and minds. I think Arushi hasn't (irrespective of the status of her marriage) but believe that Shakti has. Just like at the beginning of Kriya's marriage, I don't think Prats had but Krishna did.
I also do not believe that Shakti had made the commitment of marriage in his heart and mind to Kesar. Interestingly a horny Shakti did not go to Kesar in the night when he had to keep away from Arushi but chose to go to the terrace and sleep alone.
There is the question - not of which is the legal marriage but which is the "truer" marriage.

I am at a loss of words regarding Arushi and her antics. Just read the updates and also got an idea that most members kinda enjoyed the epi.

However don't you think like so many other instances, even this Kriya interaction was a bit flat. Correct me if I am wrong here, but in this situation when one's partner is espousing the cause of second marr.,.under whatever circumstances, wouldn't it have been a li'l more natural for P to get exasperated and ask K. pointblankly," will you too ever do the same"?
This constant detached attitude of P, the holding back of feelings, the frigid formality... is this shown deliberately to show that P avoids challenging K's thinking pattern or is it a lapse on the part of the CVs.
P treats K as if he is mentally challenged(not that I can vouch he is not) and all these things are beyond his understanding. These shortcomings in the presentation of P's character is holding back the coming of age of K and also is causing a stagnation in their relation.
I hope i have made my views lucid enough.

if the first wife cannot concieve then husband can remarry - but kesar was able to concieve - and it was shaktia himself that ruined her chances - hence under the circumstances shaktia would not be allowed to marry under hinduism.... so marriage invalid, equals to arushi being a mistree 24/7, 365.

Legally Aarushi has no status. We all agree that bigamy is against law.
But religiously I do think this marriage is valid. Bigamy is tolerated in hinduism under certain circumstances such as to beget children if the first wife can't conceive. I know that Shakti himself ruined Kesar's chances at becoming a mom thus KN should not be allowed to remarry. We viewers know that but does the grand public of the show know that too? The answer is NO. Kesar has never complained that her husband has made her go through many abortions and her last pregnancy has been made to look like she has gone through a miscarriage due to a domestic accident. So the fact remains that for the outside world Kesar has failed in her duty as a wife and bahu to provide the family with a heir thus the possibility for Shakti to remarry -- religiously that marriage is valid so Aarushi is indeed prats' jethani (unfortunately). The only possible way to end this marriage is to bring law into in. Someone needs to complain to the law (I am not sure whether it can be anyone or if it must be someone suffering from the said marriage) otherwise nothing can be done.
Also I feel we should stop with all the posts saying that CVs are promoting bigamy. They are NOT. I feel they're just showing what can happen in real life. Bigamy exists and is well received in some places of the world. Bigamy is a reality of this world. I've recently seen a documentary on fertility where it was shown that an indian man married his first wife's sister because she was unable to bear a child -- in their village it was a very common thing.
A while ago the show showed us murder and that too comitted by shamu and adarsh. While murder is also something reprehensible by law I didn't see posts claiming CVs to not promote murder so why the uproar now....Both murder and bigamy are illegal but both are a realistic aspect of this world. Both are reprehensible and should be punished but unfortunately it's not always that the culprits are caught and punished and that too is realistic. Law is fallible.
PS: Before throwing shoes at me please understand that I'm not advertising bigamy. I'm just saying it's pointless to condemn CVs for showing bigamy while it's something that exists in this world. This show is meant for adults who should know that the world is not rosy. So please guys before limiting your thought to the universal black vs. white ideology let's watch and see what will happen.

I'm very optimistic that the CVs have heard our objections and wil change the story 😆

The difference here is you have watched Arusia the real Daaaaaayan living free of rent at the NIwas at the moment. I took a week off watching as planned and tuned in yday to watch the Takur men rock the show. Of course the teeny twit who is a wannabe Takurain came toward the end and ruined the rest of the show. Ugh!

The day she comes slithering to Didi, humko maaf kar dijiye ...........Prats better show her the mirror of the despicable human being she has been. If she can be this nasty to the sister she claimed to love all her life image her plight when she has a beef with someone she detests. She needs a lesson to shock her out of her skin so she doesn't repeat this again. And she is supposed to be a positive character? DId we just fall off the turnip trucks? Ugh!

u ladies have explained she ain't a wife as per hindu religion n that she is a mistress. well a wife she ain't but she ain't a mistress either.
technically she doesn't qualify as his mistress.
1. a mistress is a long term lover of a married man. arushi has been at TN for 2 days only.
2. comfortable life provided by the man in exchange for s*x. she spent day1 wearing her bridal dress bought by the mathurs, wore the jewellery provided by the same mathurs. 2nd day post-wedding she borrowed clothes n jewels from some1. not sure who. but those weren't bought for her by shakti.
3. s*xual favors r involved. we know how things r regarding that. shakti was with his beloved bottle. arushi was with prats n kesar.
4. official mistress is even more wrong coz we all know shakti ain't some guy in a powerful position. he isn't a king, prince or some knight. she isn't a mistress n there is nothing official about it.
5. as to pompous without the "mistress" my take on this entire fiasco is that she n shakti are silly li'l bratty kids. they were playing gudda-guddi shaadi, some1 hid their dolls at the wrong moment. since they wanted to see the wedding happen( we all know how eager shakti was for 2nd marriage n arushi for marriage to aman)and no1 else was volunteering so they did the gudda-guddi wedding thingy with the next best😲 thing available............THEMSELVES.
her status at TN is;
1. the doll wife of male doll shakti.
2. guest at TN who happens to be liked by the ppl living there. so they give her lots of jewels n clothes to keep her happy during her stay.
3. hired help. in exchange for clothes n jewels she works in the kitchen. kesar can't do everything. piyasia is busy being b*tchy n prats is busy being nosey , lecturing ppl ,threatening them. so kesar needed some help, arushi is there to help kesar in the kitchen.
4. amma's back-up. amma has too many responsibilities, these include......getting physically abused by hubby, dissing maharani bictoria, dissing kesar, plotting with son n hubby, discussing maharani bictoria with piyasia, doing chores, trying to make things crappy between krish n bictoria.............and the list goes on. so she needs back-up/reinforcement. arushi is there to provide it.
5. SS's secret weapon against sucksenas esp. the prof. 1 more reason for making the saxenas miserable. shamu was getting too cocky with mathurs on the scene so SS wanted to show him who's boss. arushi is his best weapon against shamu. infact it worked so well, the prof had a heart attack.arushi is shamu's kryptonite.
there u have it, multiple choice.
