Its all "S" second day in a row!😆

I will start with last one first..............
👏👏👏👏👏 for the ShaNak scene. Minblowing!
They are so effortless and spontaneous.
He always has the last word!😳
I felt Khanak's adarsh patni lines were a little OTT, about "main do kadam peeche" etc
It was too filmy and not at all ShaNak in any way. May be all that melodrama was required but I dont happen to enjoy it. Then the show starts becoming a Bollywood tear jerker.
I burst out laughing when he said "You are a drama queen"
HOW TRUE!
Hes just so amazing with saying the right things at the right time!
The verbal sparring about throwing the money away was good. I wont give it a 10/10 for some reason, but atleast an 8 or 9.
What followed definitely will get a 10/10😳😳😳
He is amazing as the passionate lover. He takes on this super intense look and just gobbles her with his eyes. The kiss (not shown) was a nice touch........... he is always shown to be breathing heavily and eyes shut afterwards. KT............. I am sure you are having a ball enacting this😆
He scores full points for being Sensual, teasing, provoking, demanding, and enjoying all at the same time
Now to sermonizing
I havent met a parent till date that is open accepting and welcoming of their "non-conformist" kids
THEY JUST DONT DO IT
I had hoped to be one, but find myself being pulled to where my parents where😃
Its extremely hard........... money, affluence, education, maturity has nothing to do with it.
Parents just want their kids to do what they think is right
I liked Shaan's line "In 5 minutes you have captured my life's story"
I also loved " I want to do something that will not only bring a paycheck but also gratify my soul"
DONT WE ALL!👏👏👏
Now to second chances......................
I loved Khanak's reference to her past.
Like I said yesterday, thats a baggage she will carry with her all her life, and whether we like it or not many/each time she looks at him she might be reminded of "what could have been"
His head bent in shame immediately!
Way to go KT!
About the other second chance...............
Rahul needs to lose his shiny red shirt, seems like he tucked his jammy shirt in.
They are both bitter and super cynical.
They are unable to get past their "past"
I guess all maturity and rational behavior goes out the window when you are hurting
She sounded sensible for a TV show, you know talking about some wedding plans
But it was a major faux pas on her part NOT to have asked him the culture and religion requirement.
Rahul's "I am a proud Indian" comment was unnecessary and ridiculous!
Something to fill up their footage I guess
I may be a super small minority but I am still not convinced about their chemistry or love for each other. Their verbal sparring lacks depth and emotion
Chime in................

Hey Aditee,
First things first....although commenting on ur "confrontation and subplots" DT was kinda up there in my "To Do" list, just couldn't resist the temptation of coming to this thread first!! Next in order is ur "Best of RBO" thread 'cos there's just so much pent up inside!!😆Hope you understand!!😆😆
Absolutely loved the "S" factor that u've conveyed in this post........beautifully told!!
Me had just finished writing my post on today's epi in the daily DT, and lo behold, what do i see...... u've created a DT on the same!!
Since i spent my blood, sweat, and tears 🤣 in drafting that post, will recreate it here; apologies offered for occupying more screen as in forum space😆😆
So here goes.............
Jingle bells Jingle bells, RBO days are here again!!
Sorry and ThankYou hadn't sounded better.....Shaan's sorry, so totally heart-felt, and Khanak's thankyou, so typically her.....just tugs at ur heart strings!!
Shaan, lad, u can take a bow for standing by ur wife......i've never drooled over a brat more in my life!!
Loved the way "woh paise dekar bhaag jayenge" was woven into the narrative this time around!
The proverbial cherry on the cake..........when Khanak said "jaanti hoon ke aap mujhse bahut pyar karte hain" followed by the moment when Shaan's eyes swelled up with tears and Khanak flashed that smile which reached her eyes.......managed to convey so much through so little..........Scintillating stuff, really!! KT/Yashu.......thank u so much for this completely unadulterated joy that u've brought into our lives thro' ur craft!!
Jingle bells Jingle bells, RBO days are here again...........
One thing that i'd like to add; though the reference to the past was well-thought out (loved KTs guilt-ridden expression), wasn't their marriage an alliance of convenience after all.......Shaan to save his skin and Khanak to save her (rather family's) honour! I wld much rather hv preferred a reference like "kyunki aap ne mera tab saath diya jab hamare beech mein kisi rishte ki gunjaaish hi nahi thi"......as in, referring to the times when they had both accepted the marriage to be a 6-month affair (post the road trip), despite which Shaan willingly stood rock-solid besides her!!

Hey Doc,
Lovely analysis!
Maza aa gaya.
But I will beg to differ on the lines Khanak "should" have said................. the grief of losing your first husband takes precedence to anything, to top it off she agrees to wed the accused to save his life!👏👏👏
In that sense she will always be the bigger person. No amount of repentance will make it go away
I am happy she didnt gloss over it!
The way she seems to be headed these days, I fear she will turn into a grand old dame of 80 one fine morning..............
Too much of heavy weight lines and teary eyed expressions
I am NOT a fan of melodrama at all!
Thats what drew me to this show.
When he tries to force himself on her, she cried for a few minutes
When they touched each other during kuch khaas hai, the morning after she GIVES it to him on the pool side.
She has never wallowed in self pity
I MAY BE THE ONLY ONE, but I cant stand day after day of "Aapko mera saath hamesha milega"
"Main aapki Garmin navigator" " Main aapki storm shelter"
I hope we saw the last of it and we will see her support him in her own unique way, sparring, fighting yet never leaving his side

I am happy she didnt gloss over it! i guess that's the beauty of her character.

Aditee darling lovely post again dear....

Yes it indeed was a fantastic epi...the whole Sunil - Shanak scene was superbly inacted by all three...Sunil as any dad really...beleiving he knows whats right...for his child...😃😆
Khanak..as a woman who loves her hubby supports him but understands her father-in-law and loves him too ...Her expression of being torn between both was so subtlely done...
Then the whole Shanak scene...again mindblowingly fantasticly brilliant acting by KT & YM...they truly make Shanak so real...that we as viewers feel with them for them...aww......
You not liking the whole Khanak dialogue about being there always..adn being two steps behind....I personally loved it....😆😆 as for it being filmy...😆😆 can be...but...I lovd it on them..he needed to hear it...
But do agree...she hopefully does not have to say it again...but today it was needed...Shaan needed to hear it....😉😃
And even agree with you....over Doc...the dialogue by Khanak ..saying Thank you was apt...she married him to save his life...the person responsible for her hubby's death..that makes her a bigger person..indeed.😃
Thats what I love about Khanak and Shaan...my Shanak...perfect for each other 😳😛😃😆

@ Khanak mending the fences after every strong giveback by her ...

Heres what Sunil had rightly said about Khanak ...She very intelligently balances being strong girl and being a wife ...
"Khanak is different because she is a woman who not just knows that her victory also implies Shaan's victory, but also believes that in Shaan's defeat lies her defeat, too!!"
PS: Dyotona: Thanks for reminding me that line in last discussion
PS: Ok I had already said twice that this is my last post...but sach mein for today this is last ...have fun girls 😆

Hey Aditee,
Totally agree with u when u say that Khanak's gesture to agree to wed the accused to save his life makes her the bigger person; beautifully put, btw!!👏👏👏 My POV is that since this was not the driving force behind her decision to marry him; it was more circumstantial than anything else, reffering to the times when he actually began supporting her wld hv seemed more plausible!!
As regards, the "bharatiya nari" bit, u know what Aditte, me too being very much the urban-bred sorts used to hv these never-ending brain-storming sessions (albeit with myself😆).......is it really that simple to play second-fiddle to a man? Doesn't ego/self-esteem ever come in between? And believe u me, the only conclusion that i cld arrive at was that it's not about being second-fiddle at all! Strange as it may sound, but it's all about knowing the secret to your happiness......if taking a step backward, in something as simple as a hubby-wifey argument can give either partner (almost always the husband😆) a moment of "vindication" and thereby a sense of "achievement", it can go a long way in cementing the bond! Strange, but true!!!
That really is my 'take-home' from Khanak; being assertive without being aggressive.....something that even your's truly is guilty of more often than not!!
