Brief update for now, since I have company coming for dinner. Shameless tells Sara that he will see her face when he looks at his wife, and sure enough, that's what happens, so finally he gets irritated and tells Vasanthi to go and sleep and not bother him. Swathi and Karthi do some cooing, Tamil comes to see them, tells KS that she doesn't want the loan from him. Ashok comes to know about KS offering to set her up with a sweets shop of her own from his girlfriend.

Shyless pats herself for tricking Sara & learning about his first night fiasco. Challenges , ' you will never be able to touch your wife , that is the power of my love, got it man. 'Muttal EB engineer had played with live wire & as if not enough discusses bedroom matter shamelessly in public with friend. Shock adikkama vera enna paNNum ?

Ashok [ I think this is the name of AM shop owner] in his office puratting some file. Takes out some papers , keep a blank stamp paper in between them & calls Priya. Expresses his displeasure at Thamizh starting a new Sweet stall as that might affect their profitability since Thamizh is the sole possessor of the formulas of their special grade sweets. Ashok wants Priya to get the signature of AM in the blank stamp paper which he will fill it up with matter favourable to him. Priya refuses , it is unfair , green drogam to friendship. Ashok stands his ground – decide friendship or love. Priya argues " I have proved my love to you by offering myself before marriage. What other proof you need ". [Indha serialukkuthan mudhalla A certificate kudukkanum]. Some lecture on kadhal thathuvam by Ashok , final bombshell... if no agreement to my plans then bye bye to our love .Natpa Kadhala come on Priya decide soon. Priya opens the glyderin tank borrowed from Meena.

Prema in front of Lord Nataraja , visions of her sanbadham... 'if I cannot get married to Karthik the tali will go to the Hundi '.Looks at Lord intently , takes out the Thali , holds it up for the Lord to see , camera zooms forward & backward, wfhish wfhish wfhish yellow flashes on Lord & Prema ,after all this build up puts the thali in the hundi...declares " you have won the battle, but I have not lost[ enna arthamo onnum puriyala]. My next plan to destroy KS kudumbam is all ready , No one will ever know my secret plan [including you Lord], once I accomplish my mission all will keep their finger on their nose" [ Avlavu full proof]. Magic thatha's entry. Listens to her monologue , laughs loudly. Prema is intrigued ,demands reason for his laughter, Thatha's answer enakku onnum puriyalai...this is what he said... "idhu varaikkum thothukitte irundha nee inime jayikka pore ,nee ninaichadellam nadakka pogudhu ,you made God laugh , when we even shudder to stand before God you have made him laugh with your challenge , you are indeed a great girl." Saying so he leaves , Prema runs behind & tries to get his blessing. Thatha stops her.

Update for Tuesday, Dec 7, 2010:

Priya gets the documents signed by AM. Meena comes in and asks him if he shouldn't read through them first (she has much more sense than he does, obviously!) and he says No, if Priya has come and asked us, and she is a good friend of Tamil's (I think that was what he said, correct me if I am wrong), I don't need to read the documents and signs them. He does mention the number of pages he was asked to sign. Priya is feeling guilty, refuses the offer of coffee and stumbles over the doorstep on her way out.

AM sweet store - someone comes in looking tired and Tamil asks him what's wrong, his son is sick, so Tamil asks him to go home and take care of his family, opens her purse and gives him the money she has. He is overwhelmed and thanks her for her generosity. Priya sees this as she comes in, feels guilty, tries to walk past without greeting her, Tamil insists on greeting her and offers her prasadam from Karpagambal temple. She is reluctant to take it, Tamil applies it herself and tells her how her face is glowing with the prasadam. Ashok calls on the phone, Tamil answers, he asks if Priya has arrived and to send her inside. Priya goes in and hands over the documents and says she is guilty over doing this to Tamil who is so sincere to her, and weeps because she has betrayed her friend for her kaadhal. Ashok says all this will be forgotten in six months.

Tamil goes home, sees her father folding her saris and scolds him for doing things like that. She scolds her mother for allowing him to do that and Meena says she has already told him that. Tamil says her father has only handed out paychecks to employees and should not be doing such menial tasks. He says that now that there are only three of them and he is having bad health, he felt that he should be helping out (I don't understand this logic - he used to be the owner of a store, so he should not do anything? Even if he still owned a store, he can always help out! This is the kind of stuff that gives our men the idea that they are stooping to help their women, they don't realize that they are also a part of the family.) Tamil agrees with this logic.

Producer Siddhique's Jumadin special...azhugai galore, kandravi episode. Sorry for the delayed posting.

Sick disgusting arguments between Ashok & Priya...In short Ashok insists on abortion while priya against it. [ OMG intha alavu poyacha...sutham hmm].Priya give some big lecture on love & lust...kamathukkaga paduthaval illai , kadhalukkaga paduthaval [ enna kandraviyo] , no way I can abort the child, let us discuss the next course of action ...tie the thali round my neck at the earliest . Crook Ashok shows his suya roopam... rejects the marriage option ,cites the status difference between them , offers her money & asks her to get lost or else continue to remain as his keep. [Enna kadhaida sami...Temple return srimaku aen indha punishmento?].No manasakshi cries Priya . Ashok sarcastically retorts ...enna madhiri paNakkaravangaLukku manasakshi is like the day's shirt the colour changes accordingly. Priya cries cries & keeps on crying.

Priya's crying continues. Camera catches her crying from various angles. Finally she reaches her home in an auto. Door locked , neighbour lady gives her the key , informs her mummy has gone on varan vettai for her. Priya goes inside leaving the key on the door knob& closing it behind her. With soga BGM she measures the length & breadth of the room crying all the time with visions of Ashok's sweet talks , harsh talks , dirty talks ,Thamizh's caring talks ,her drogam to Thamizh's family etc etc. Visions of Ashok's nasty words " be my keep or get lost" keeps vibrating in her ears.[ viewer's ears started bleeding listening to this umpteen times]. Finally removes a saree from the cupboard , some more visions of Ashok's good face , bad face , Thamizh's caring face, flash flash flash again, finally starts twisting the saree to make the noose.[my guess Thamizh will come at the right time to save her...key is already hanging in the door].

Camera shifts to hospital. Mrs. MK engaged in wifey duty...giving sponge bath to husband. MK sings ...manaivi amaivadhellam Iraivan kodutha varam. Kavitha then leaves for the temple. MK gets a call from the senior Doctor...goes to his room [ this Doctor resembles Ashok a lot [ Ashok with specs]..double act by the artist?]. Doctor expresses his satisfaction at MK's remarkable recovery. MK gives the credit to his wife , wonders how he is going to pay back her. Doctor suthi valaichu mookath thodaraar...says, " your intentions are noble , but unfortunately you are not in a position to fulfil your wife's nyayamana asaigal. Brave yourself to face the truth. Freeze on Muthu's shocked face.

In all camera & glycerine played the major role.

Update for Wed, Dec 8, 2010:

Tamil tells Meena that she refused KS's offer to set her up even though he is a close friend and well wisher, because once you take such help, you are obliged to them for life, even if they don't feel that. Besides, her sisters have gone to that house, so they should reap the benefits of that house, and not share it with her, etc. Meena agrees with her logic, then tells her about Priya coming and getting the documents signed. Tamil says it was for an insurance policy, (hmmm, then why didn't she give the documents to Tamil when she came to the store? Meena tells Tamil that the milk curdled when AM was about to sign, then she saw that AM has chandrashtamam, so any good thing started will not work out, but Tamil tells her not to believe in such sagunams and to trust Priya.

At work, Priya seems distracted and Tamil asks her what's up, is there a problem? Priya says No, then Tamil asks her how is it that she still hasn't asked her about KS's offer, so Priya finally asks her about it, and Tamil tells her how she has rejected the offer. Priya becomes dizzy and faints.

Tamil and Priya at a doctor's office. The doctor asks to speak with Tamil privately, she tells Tamil that Priya is pregnant. Tamil says that it is not possible, but the doctor tells her it is so, and to get Priya married quickly. Tamil drags Priya to a corner, tells her what the doctor said, and Priya says it is okay, the guy is going to marry her, she is sure about it, nothing to fuss about, and Tamil gives her a lecture about karpu and its importance (thank God it is not Shyless giving this sermon!), and finally asks her who her lover is. Priya doesn't want to tell the name, she says she has promised him she won't tell anyone (shouldn't that tell her that he is a rogue?), finally Tamil threatens to tell her mother, so she tells Tamil it is Ashok. Tamil is very thoughtful, points out the difference in their status, but Priya tells her that he will not let her down, and she will arrange for the marriage to take place soon.

An old man is walking down the street and giving something to people, saying Thiruchitrambalam. A car stops, and KS lowers the window, watching his father give prasadam to people. He gets down from the car, runs up to the old man, saying Samy, Samiiieeee...., when his father turns around, sees him and stops. KS wants prasadam, and the old man goes not give it. KS asks him why, says he thinks his father is greater than God, so he thinks of his father before eating, etc., and tells him about the problems created at the wedding. Thatha wants to know if the incidents at the wedding, Tamil's engagement being broken, and says about how her life has been ruined. Thatha wants to know if he is sure about her life being ruined by him, maybe it is all for the better. KS is shocked ......

Update for Tues, Dec 14, 2010:

Priya's mother is doing a wailing job - why did you do this, unakku enna aachu, and so on. Tamil comes in, gets updated by her, she hugs Priya and asks her why she did it, and mom promptly asks Priya to answer at least now, and then she starts hitting her. Tamil stops her from doing that, and she justifies herself by saying that all these years, she has never even raised her hand and Priya hasn't even seen her getting angry (so now it is okay if you hit your daughter? Idhu enna logic?) Anyway, Tamil gets her out of the room and Priya spills the truth about Ashok refusing to marry her and being willing to keep her as a mistress. Tamil swears that she will get Priya married to Ashok, that is her mission in life.

Kavitha is praying at the temple, with a lamp in her hand. She puts the lamp down, then goes around the temple where a kiLi josiyar is sitting and making predictions for some women. One of the women gets angry with him, saying that last time he got a lizard card, and this time he got something else, neeyum un josiyamum, and the others join in, calling him a cheat, and leave. Kavitha comes there, asks what happened, he tells her, she asks him to predict for her husband. He asks for the name, she doesn't want to say it, so she gives him clues - what is in the sea? and he says Meen (so would I) and what is the opposite of kezhavan. Anyway, she manages to point him in the right direction, and he tells the bird to pick a card. The bird picks one of Mary with the baby Jesus, so he says there will be a baby. She asks him to pick again, this time the bird picks one of Krishna and Balaram, so he says there will be twins within the year. She is happy, pays him and leaves after feeding the bird some grains.

MK is sitting on his bed, Kavitha comes and gives him the prasadam. He doesn't talk so she asks him what happened, and then she tells him about the josiyar and his josiyam, while he is looking at her with all this sogam in his eyes.
