"Can you please buy me some ice-cream Prem?" Heer asked cutely on their way home from school, when she suddenly spotted Ben and Jerry's.

Prem clicked his mouth raising his eyebrows, "Why?" He asked laughing.

"Because I'm going to be cheering for you for this football thing so I do deserve something in return don't I?" Heer said cheekily.

"Yes you do." Prem replied grinning, "You deserve a big fat juicy slap!"

"Preeeem!" Heer moaned crossing her arms over her chest and pouting cutely.

"Fineeee!" Prem agreed finally giving up, "I'll buy you some!"

"Thank you Prem!" Heer squealed with delight and without realizing what she was doing leaned up and placed a quick yet soft kiss on his cheek. It was only after she had walked away did she realize what she had just done and quickly bit her tongue awfully hard. Prem stood there, still taking in what had happened and immediately lifted his hand up to touch his cheek where she had kissed him. Not long after did his lips hastily curve into a huge smile, which eventually turned into a grin. "Heer what was that for?" He laughed.

"Erm...for buying me ice cream." Heer quickly blurted out her face turning a deep crimson red. She couldn't believe she had just kissed him, even if it was in a friendly way she had never done it before. What made her do it today?

Prem shook his head laughing, "You are one funny girl Heer! Now come on."

"Here you go madam!" The old man at the till handed over the ice-cream to Heer, laughing over how excited she was getting. "Thank you!" Heer grinned, walking out of the shop licking her ice cream. Prem laughed watching her eat the ice cream with such happiness. She looked like a little 3 year old getting over excited. Heer turned around sticking her tongue out at him, "Hurry up!" She called before sitting on the bench outside, happily licking away on her ice cream.

The man at the till grinned winking at Prem. "Girlfriends huh? Not very hard to please them is it?" He joked.

Prem turned to face him his eyes suddenly growing wide, "Sorry?"

"She your girlfriend?" The old man asked laughing to himself.

"No way man! We're friends...just friends!" Prem quickly blurted out blushing at the fact that the man had thought they were a couple.

The old man flexed his eyebrows rather surprised, "Huh? Just friends? You sure boy?" He questioned finding it hard to believe. He had seen Prem and Heer fighting and making faces at each other in the queue playfully the whole time and couldn't help but notice how cute they were. In fact he watched them walk to and from school every single day. They always walked past his shop and the two of them were always fighting, hitting each other or making silly faces. He admired them greatly from his own past memories, and had always thought of them as a couple; they had always looked so much in love.

"Erm Yeh man. Why?" Prem murmured confused at what the old man was trying to say. He felt extremely awkward and didn't know how to react.

"Well, that's just too bad isn't it?" The man sighed quite disappointed that they were only friends. He pulled out the receipt handing it over to Prem along with his ice cream. "Well there you go, enjoy your ice cream and hope to see you guys more! And remember there's a difference between love and friendship. Don't get confused between the two; who knows you might end up making the biggest mistake of your life." He smiled.

Prem smiled awkwardly thanking the man before quickly walking out of the shop. He was extremely confused and couldn't help but wonder what the old man was trying to say. "Crazy guy" thought Prem rolling his eyes and pushing the old man's words to the back of his head, before walking up to Heer. She was still sitting on the bench licking her ice cream with extreme care.

"Come on, what took you so long?" She questioned standing up and walking alongside him.

"Prem?" Heer repeated herself for the third time realizing he wasn't listening to her.

Prem quickly came out of his thoughts, "Sorry? Did you say something?"

Heer rolled her eyes, "Have I been talking to myself for the past 5 minutes?!"

Prem laughed, "What's wrong with that? You always do."

Heer pressed her lips in annoyance, "Prem you're not funny!" She groaned pushing him hard. Heer munched down the last of her ice-cream treasuring every bite.

"I'll race you home." Prem challenged.

"Oh so is Prem Juneja challenging Heer Maan!" Heer inquired folding her arms across her chest like a little girl.

"Call it what you want! We both know who's going to win don't we?!" Prem laughed.

"Yes we do!" Heer stuck her tongue out at him, "MR PREM JUNEJA! You should know better than to challenge a girl, that even ME!"

Prem laughed at her attitude, "Okay 1...2...3 GO!" He announced starting to run down the street.

"WAIT!" Heer yelled. "I WASN'T READY!" She groaned running after him. "PREM STOP!"

"Who's going to win now?" Prem laughed shouting down the street as he started to run even faster.

"Keep on running you idiot!" Heer shouted sighing to herself, "I'm not even running, so you're racing yourself!" She imitated him sticking her tongue out, walking slowly across the road, a cute pout playing across her lips.

"OW!" Heer screamed suddenly falling over. "PREM HELP!"

Prem immediately stopped running, quickly running back to help her. "Heer are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

Heer burst into tears, "This is all your fault!" She shrieked kicking him hard. "I told you to stop but you just kept on running!"

"I'm sorry Heer!" Prem frowned, grabbing her hand to help her up.

Heer stood up rubbing her leg. "Prem?"

"Yes?"

She quickly turned around pushing him hard on the floor before bursting into a fit of laughter. "Let's see who wins now!" She pouted before turning around to run.

"Heer!" Prem yelled quickly standing up and running after her. "You CHEATER!" Heer ignored him running all the way down the street laughing continuously at her own trick.

"HAHA I told you not to challenge me didn't I Prem!?" She giggled as he caught up with her on the middle of the road they lived on. "I WON!"

Prem sighed rolling his eyes at her, "You're such a big cheater Heer!"

"HEY!" Heer retorted frowning at him, "Don't you dare call me a cheater okay?"

"CHEATER! CHEATER! CHEATER!" Prem laughed opening the front door of his house and carelessly walking inside.

"PREEEM!" Heer moaned folding her arms across her chest as she followed his inside.

"Oh my God! The cheater is inside my house!" Prem joked pretending to be scared.

"Fine!" Heer gritted, "I'm going!"

"Well the door is over there bud," He laughed directing her with his hand.

"I'm going!"

"Go!"

Heer stuck her tongue out at him childishly, "Fine! But before I go I need to get something!" She simply stated quickly turning around and running upstairs.

"Heer where are you going?" Prem laughed. He sat down on the sofa and hurriedly flicked through the TV channels stopping at a movie station. He was going to completely ignore her childish behavior. "I bet she wants me to follow her upstairs!" Prem mumbled to himself. "Well guess what Heer?" He yelled loud enough for her to hear, "I'm not coming! So you can sit up there all by yourself! Let's see how long you can play this game?" Prem pulled his jacket off throwing it across the other seat; he grumbled a song that had been stuck in his head for a while before making himself comfortable on the sofa, ready to watch a movie.

Five minutes later Heer walked downstairs a cheeky grin playing on her lips. "Did you get bored?" Prem asked sarcastically watching her walk down the steps as he rolled his eyes at her. Heer ignored him walking straight over to the front door and slowly opened it. Prem stood up noticing the cheeky grin on her face. "Okay Heer tell what you're up too?"

"Nooooothing." Heer grinned pouting cutely. "Why would I do something Prem?"

Prem narrowed his eyes walking towards her, "I'm not stupid...now tell me what you did Heer. You better not have put chilies in my toothpaste or fake spiders on my pillow or crisps under my covers. Oh wait you hid all my boxers again didn't you? Just like you did the last time you were up there! Well guess what none of your dirty tricks are going to work because I know all of them and they certainly won't work this time!"

Heer laughed, "I didn't do anything Prem! And wait I only hid all your boxers because you refused to go with my choice of movie and the last time I put chilies in your toothpaste was ages ago. Oh and what are you talking about? Never once have my tricks failed! Remember that time I turned your clock forward and you thought it was time for school?! Ahahahaha." Heer suddenly burst out laughing remembering all the dirty pranks she had played on him.

Prem stood there glaring at her, "Yeh, Yeh whatever, I actually got back at you for all of those tricks so If I were you I wouldn't be speaking! Now will you tell me what you're up too?" He demanded.

Heer winked at him before pulling out a picture from behind her back, "Look what I found Preeeem, What is this?" She asked holding up a picture. Prem's eyes suddenly grew wide at the sight of a picture of him sitting in the garden in his nappy.

"Heeeeeer give that to me now!" Prem whined reaching over to take it. "Where did you find it?"

Heer quickly moved her hand away laughing at his reaction. "Awww Prem look how cute you were. As a baby! Such a chubby BEHBEH!" She teased pouting cutely. "But it won't be so cute anymore when the whole school see's this tomorrow will it?" She grinned evilly.

"Heer you wouldn't do that!" Prem groaned glaring at her.

Heer covered her mouth with her hand pretending to be surprised, "Now why is that Prem?" She questioned.

"Because you love me."

"Really? Hmm let me think.....NO!" Heer laughed.

Prem shook his head in annoyance stepping closer to her. He quickly grabbed her from around the waist embracing her and held her tight against his body. "Heer give that to me now or else!"

"Why? What are you going to do?" Heer laughed struggling to get away from his grip. "Prem let go of me!" She whined.

"Give me my picture first!" Prem begged not amused one bit about what was going on.

"Fine you can have it but let go of me first." Heer smiled trying to sound innocent.

Prem narrowed his eyes, "Your lying aren't you?" He asked not believing that she would agree to give him the picture so easily.

Heer laughed, "Your right, I am!" She stomped on his foot quickly getting away from his grip. "Catch me if you can!" She teased running out of the door. She giggled running as fast as she could all the way over to her own house.

Prem rubbed his foot where she had stomped him, "Heer come here!" He yelled running after her.

Heer quickly opened the front door of her house running inside. Prem followed right behind her trying to grab hold of her arm, "Heer I won't leave you!" He warned chasing her around the living room. "Come here!" Heer stuck her tongue out at him throwing a pillow his way. Prem grabbed the pillow running after her. Heer jumped over the sofa and quickly ran up the stairs as fast as her feet would carry her. Prem groaned following her towards the staircase as he chased her up the narrow steps.

"Prem leave me!" Heer screeched running towards her bedroom.

"Give me my picture first!" Prem ordered running into her bedroom before she could shut the door. He caught hold of her arm on the way. "Prem noo!" Heer laughed pushing him onto the bed. Prem grabbed her from the waist pulling her down with him before rolling flatly on top of her. "Preeeem get off me!" Heer grinned struggling to get away.

"My picture!" He repeated for the fifth time. He reached over trying to grab it from him but her reflexes were way too fast.

"Do what you want...I won't give it to you!" Heer smirked as both of them rolled around on the bed fighting for the picture. She kicked him hard in the guts and then quickly rolled off the bed laughing hard.

"OW!" Prem screeched falling flat on his side. He grabbed a pillow throwing it at her. Heer stuck her tongue out at him trying to run away but he was way too quick for her. Before she knew it he had grabbed hold of her hand and pulled her back down on the bed. Prem gripped her down on the bed forming a box over her body. He placed a hand on each side of her shoulder and his legs on each side of hers. He slowly bent down towards her as she struggled to get away.

"Prem what are you doing?" Heer laughed her breath quickening.

"You're all by yourself in this room with me! I could do anything now couldn't I?" Prem grinned.

Heer's eyes grew wide, "You wouldn't!"

"Oh yes I would!" Prem pouted moving his face closer to hers.

Heer lay there staring at his face and she couldn't help but notice how good he smelled. She breathed in the sweet smell of his cologne loosing herself for a while. The world around her seemed to have paused and for some weird reason she felt butterflies inside her stomach.

"PREM! No!" Heer screeched coming back to reality. She turned her face away from his as he moved closer whilst trying to loosen herself from his grip. Suddenly her phone started ringing. Heer shrieked at the sound of her ring tone trying to get up. "Prem move! My phone is ringing." She squealed.

"Not until I get my picture back!" Prem laughed still holding her down tight.

"PREM PLEASEEE!"

"No!"

"PREM!"

"NO!"

"PREEEEM!"

"HEEEER!"

"Fine take it!" Heer sighed finally giving up. "Now get off me."

Prem laughed rolling away from her grabbing his picture at the same time. Heer quickly stood up fixing her dress before answering the phone.

"PAPA!" Heer answered her heart starting to beat faster. "I'm so sorry Papa I was eeerm in the toilet. No Dad everything is okay. No nothing happened. No...no-one is here with me. Papa stop worrying so much."

Heer continued to talk to her dad for the next five minutes. "Okay bye papa! Love you, take care of yourself!" She cut the call throwing her phone across the bed. "You got away this time Mr. Prem Juneja! But you're not getting away next time!"

Prem laughed at her, "Yeh, Yeh we'll see about that! And why did you lie to your dad? You naughty, naughty girl." He teased pointing his finger at her.

Heer rolled her eyes, "Because if I told him that you were in my bedroom, lying on my bed and fighting with me over some stupid picture, he would have thought we were doing something wrong. And he would have been here within the next few hours to beat you up."

Prem laughed, "God can't friends even be in each other's rooms?" He asked sarcastically. "And your dad doesn't like me does he?"

Heer grinned, "Nope!"

Prem grinned rolling his eyes, "Good because I don't seem to like him either."

Heer frowned giving him a cold glare, "Hey don't say anything about my dad!"

What?" Prem questioned, "Why is he so bloody strict with you?"

"Because he's the one that brought me up all by himself so obviously he's going to be a bit possessive over his little daughter...I'm like his little girl!"

Prem sighed, "Yeh, Yeh whatever...if he hates me so much imagine how much he will hate the guy you fall in love with!"

"Dad only hates you because you sound like a spoilt brat!" Heer laughed.

"What?" inquired Prem grabbing hold of a pillow and throwing it her way.

Heer grabbed the other pillow hitting him with it and before they knew it the two of them were on the bed hitting each other with pillows and fighting all over again.

Heer sat on the couch downstairs flicking through the TV channels again and again. It was late at night and Prem was gone to the Gym to work out. No matter how tired Heer was she seriously couldn't be bothered to walk upstairs and get in bed. Just then as she sat there rubbing her eyes, trying hard to stay awake the phone started ringing. Heer cursed loudly, grabbing the phone. "Hello?" She greeted.

The voice on the other end greeted her cheerfully, "HEER where have you been?"

A smile immediately broke across Heer's lips, "Siya di? Oh my god it's been ages since I spoke to you! How are you didi?"

"I'm fine baby, how are you and how is London?"

"Everything's fine here didi. Its feels so good to be speaking to you again anyways how is Jiju and how is my little champ Arun?"

Siya laughed on the other end, "Their both fine Heer anyways I needed to tell you something!"

Heer heard her voice growing serious on the other side, "Yes didi what happened?"

"Heer I've heard dad talking about you and this guy quite a few time 'apparently he's one of dads business associates son and I have a very weird feeling he's thinking about him for you."

Heer started laughing not taking it seriously one little bit, "Didi you know what dad's like don't you? He won't do anything, trust me I won't let him!"

Siya grinned, "Yea I know but I just thought I would let you know since it is about you! Anyways I saw him once and he is quite good looking!" She joked.

Heer grinned, "Really? Well maybe I need to meet him then! Nah di I'm joking I don't care who he is I'm not marrying ANYONE I don't love and you know that!"

"Yeah I know Heer just asking you to be careful and don't be surprised if Dad calls you up asking you about this! I did warn you."

"Yeh whatever Didi, Dad won't do anything of the sort!" Heer grinned. "He can't!"

"Prem!" Heer whined on their way too school. "Can you please walk properly?"

"I am walking properly?" Prem laughed.

"No you're not! You're walking into me!" Heer complained pushing him to the side.

Prem looked at her making a silly face and sticking his tongue out at her.

"Prem you look like a freak!" Heer pouted.

"Well I may look like a freak but you are a freak!" Prem grinned laughing at his own joke.

Heer rolled her eyes, "Hahahahaha very funny!"

"Heer! Prem!" Alisha called catching up with them. "Where are you guys going?"

"We're going to a party Alisha!" Heer replied sarcastically. "For God's sake where do you think we're going?!"

Prem grinned while Alisha stood there, "erm why are you guys going to a party and whose party is it? Aren't you going to school?"

Heer groaned loudly, "Alisha are you even awake? Of course we're going to school!"

Prem burst out laughing whilst Alisha looked on confused, "Heer you're such a confused girl no wonder you don't have a boyfriend!"

"Thank you Alisha I'm so glad to have a friend like you!" Heer gritted.

Alisha grinned, "Your welcome Heer. Anyways I need to tell you something! So there was this guy that came to my house yesterday...apparently we're family friends right? And Oh my god boooy was he good looking! So he came up to me and told me that he thought I was pretty and sweet and we needed to meet some more. And I needed to scream so badly because he was so adorable. And now I'm meeting him tonight so I need your help to decide what to wear! Your coming to my house after school!"

Heer groaned sighing to herself, "Seriously sometimes I really...really think I'm going to go crazy! You and all your boy stories...Prem and all his girl stories...you know what you guys should be best friends! Why am I stuck in all of this?"

Prem frowned, "Hey why you bringing me into this?"
