I wanted Shravni to stay.
Pooja is a great and talented actress but they didn't tap into her full potential. I love how she caught her saas, by saying at the end that all I was to you was a baby-making machine, Sachu is the one you cared for, not me. No one thought of me, not even my dad who thought of the biradari first.
I'd have loved her character to move into her dad's house, get even more educated and become independent of everyone, work somewhere, find good friends. Then maybe someone nice would come into her life and would fall in love with her.
Then she wouldn't have to beg any man for attention or love. And be ignored or treated rudely or be called a zimedaari...what a hurtful way to be described!
These people forgot that she was dealing with a bad case of PTSD after Sachin died and she received no counseling for that trauma, and here she was, carrying all this pent up angst and hurt around.
No girlfriends to talk to, a crazy, lalchi saas, an uninterested mangetar, the whispering of the chawl people about her pregnancy, the stigma that goes with that...she bore a lot.
But as the lead, Archu's tears were more front and center.
She was on the rebound when she got all hooked on Manav, and we all know that anyone on the rebound is always stuck on their ex.
I wanted to write a post to say the Shravni should stay, in case they're axing her charac.
