Picture this, AS has brought Naku to the mandap in her asli avatar, and Dutta stands there shellshocked. He remembers seeing the girl before but can't understand what she's doing here.
He looks at AS befuddled asking what's happening when Naku calls, Saab!
He cannot believe his ears. He stares at her in disbelief. Nahi, tum Naku nahi ho.
"Main dhokebaaz nahi, par jaanti hoon, maine galti ki hai. Aur mujhe wo har sazb kubool hai jo aap mujhe de. Shayad mujhe batana chahiye ki meri majboori kya thi. Par main kuch nai kahungi aaj. Sirf itna kahungi, main aapki wahi Nakusha hoon, aur main aapse bahut pyar karti hoon. Aur kuch nahi kehna mujhe. Aapki marzi, aap mujhe apnae ya thukraye."
Dutta's mind screams betrayal as he realizes the truth. And yet, her words make sense to him. He'd never offered her any explanations, and yet she had always loved him. He remembers their warning, and then he closes his eyes. His heart whispers her name the loudest. Every memory he has of this girl is pristine. He walks towards her, the rage in his eyes palpable.
"I don't know what to believe any longer. But this time i've heard what my heart is trying to tell me. I need no reason, Naku. All i know is that I love you. And that you love me like no one else. I have loved your soul, and i know your soul is true."
And so, the great DSP holds out his hand and asks "kya tum mere saath apni poori zindagi bitaogi?"
