1.8 crore in taxes :| That's an eye opener. Sometimes I feel, we pay for their luxurious lifestyle. sigh!

She gets paid more because of all the endorsement than movies, I reckon.

Yes it's the same thing! If you get paid more than everyone, then you pay more tax. I think it's probably because she also is a hollywood celeb thatz why! Like the ads she does for Hollywood they must pay her more than what indian ads pay her obviously. If not, I would think Kat should be the highest paid, considering the number of hits she gives!

However, you can also show less money than you actually received, thereby paying less tax. For eg., you take x amount of money but then ask the producer to pay for extra expenses, flight tickets and so on and so forth. I've heard it used to happen a lot more earlier, but now with corporate production houses it happens less.
