hey guys..

thanks so much, everyone, for all your super sweet messages and pms. i really really really appreciate them!! so what happened was a friend died about a month ago..i hope you guys understand. its just so different without him around anymore..i can't really explain it........

so this is a super short update..i havent written in a while, so its not the best. but i hope you like it anyways. i will definately try to update soon, but i cant make any promises.

oh, and also, i've updated my pm list.....i may have accidently missed you when i retyped the entire thing, so do go check and make sure you're on it, if you would like to me on it. and if you're not, please leave a comment, and i'll add you!

Chapter 11

She flapped her arms through the water, trying to fight against the waves, but they were just too strong for her. Pushing her arms through the water, she tried to make it to the surface of the water, so she could get just one breath of air. She was so close! She could even see the sun shining through the surface of the raging lake. As she extended her arms up, attempting to touch the air above that surface with her fingers, she felt herself being pulled deeper into the lake, as if something had attached to her legs and was tugging her further away from her destination. She tried to fight against it anyways, trying to swim up to the top, but her lungs had had enough. She couldn't hold in her breath anymore. She exhaled out all the air she had and stretched towards the surface of the water again before closing her eyes and falling back in the unknown darkness of the lake.

She could feel something pulling her up now. There was no longer any force dragging her down. Instead, she felt something grip her waist and pull her up. Everything around her was still black though. For all she knew, she could just be dreaming. Now she felt like she had just broken the surface. The cool air around her sent chills down her back, but she could still sense some warmth from the sun. This couldn't be a dream. It felt too real. She had finally made it to the surface of the water. She fought to open her eyes, but she still couldn't. She opened her mouth and inhaled as much air as she could hold and exhaled. Again, she breathed in as much air as she could and forced her eyes open. She looked up too see a man carrying her, dragging her through the water to land. She couldn't quite make out his features though since her eyesight was still blurry. He looked different though. He didn't look like she expected him to look. It was him, right? If it was, he looked extremely different. She blinked again, trying to clear up her vision, but it remained blurry. She slowly moved one of her hands down to her waist where the man held her and touched them. This man's hand felt much more stronger than his, but they weren't as soft. They had a little hardness in them. She looked up at the man again. He didn't look down at her though. He continued to stride through the crashing waves with ease.

She now felt herself being laid onto the ground, gently. The man released her and began to walk away. "Wait!" she thought, but she was too weak to say it out loud. The man continued to walk away without turning back. She lay back down, blinking several times until everything finally came into focus. She looked out to where the man had walked away. "Wait," she inaudibly whispered this time. The man suddenly stopped as if he had heard her and turned back to look at her.

She was shocked. This was definitely not the man she had expected. Not even in her dreams.

Geet's eyes flickered open.

"Maan."
