The slap yesterday was a wake up call...........not only for our maan perfect khurana but also for all of us.........this is the harsh reality..............geetHSP team always wanted to show the harsh reality of life in their own way and we viewers assumed it to be a fairy tale.............

they wanted to project issues like NRI fake marriages, cold rape, honor killing etc..... from the very first episode.............but fortunately or unfortunately we as viewers got so engrossed in the lovestory of maan and geet or rather the chemistry of gurmeet and drashti ......that we actually forgot that the show is about something else altogether..............

so today-------we got to see another aspect of ill treatment faced by women ------- manhandling and physical abuse-------------BRAVO..........

I have always maintained that this team comprises of sheer genius..........they could have easily voiced these issues by bringing in some parallel character and kept the love story of the lead as intact............. but see what they have done........ they have judiciously played their cards and brought out this hard core reality only through the lead pair and nothing else to create the maximum impact...........again BRAVO......


COMING TO THE EPISODE---------

1. maan -- geet pool scene

It was HOT with a capital "H"---------- when actually needed geet would want only maan to be by her side and maan would jump to her rescue---------- ego etc. can go to hell...........

the scene was flawless with the flashbacks --------- one could clearly make out the difference in chemistry and closeness-------------- today they did not lose the eye contact----------- maan was not willing to let go of her even when they were out of water------------ but ofcourse ----------" hum pehli baar issi tarha mile the "-------was enough to bring back the zalim singh khurana to his angry self------------and circus khatam hua--------------its party time----------- may be he deserved one slap then-------------anyways....

2. adi-pinki-geet

I think adi is the sanest character of this show in all respects-------------- i would want him as my boy friend-------------maan khurana move aside------------ pinki go for him now.....

great words of advice ----------- no point talking to maan when he is angry----- but apna geet puttar is to sherni now---------------- " unke ilawa bhi logo ko gussa aa sakta hai"----------------- fabulous-------------the day maan realizes this ------everything will be just fine.....


3. maan-geet-party girl

first things first-------- i just hate that aarana-----------

did you notice--------the moment geet came there, maan checkedher upside down--------hold your wild thoughts girls--------he did that to see that she was totally wet------- then said " geet, ghar jao"--------- his concern that she was wet and needed to change and his ego for not telling her directly.........

when that girl came----------maan sensed something wrong------------no matter how much he hurts her, his spidy horns come out when someone else tries that------- but i loved geet's reply here----------yes you jerk-------she can help herself you dont need to jump in--------------this is character consistency-------geet never compains of anybody to maan ------- we have seen this many a times in case of sasha------------no matter how much she troubles geet , she never naggs maan about it-------------again BRAVO

this " madad ki zaroorat nahi hai " ticked him off---------------it always does.........

4. the dance

this man can dance.........he suerely can.........

you have to see geet's reaction to believe what she was going through seeing maan dance like that--------------- one point of clarification------------------she was not jealous----------she was not angry----------she was hurt----------not only for herself but for maan------------ she was breaking down every moment seeing the downfall of such a man----------she somehow realized that directly or indirectly she was the reason behind this---------------this thought totally shattered her--------------

so when maan supposedly approached her for the dance------she was to ready to give in------------ no ego came in her way------------------she has realized where she went wrong..........but of course the jerk khurana was in action today...........

the kurbaan hua step-------------------- i will never forgive maan for this------------but i have a justification why he did it------------- he wanted a reaction today-------- he wanted geet to hold his hand to take him away from there like she did in the disco-----------------he wanted geet to bacome furious at his behaviour---------- thaty reaction would have proved how much she cares for him...........

that is exactly why he lost his all senses the moment he realised geet left him there-------------------he just could not take it..............then came the disaster


5. the last blow

ever since he started dancing with that cheepo party girl----------------- he was craving to dance with geet------------------he wanted her with him like never before----------he knew she was within his reach but he could not hold her, love her, caress her or dance with her----------------- this desperation made him wild and finally he let out the beast in him which was dormant in him for all his life---------

HE DESERVED EVERY BIT OF THE EPIC SLAP............................

what happened today was much needed ----------------- this slap was totally needed not only for today but it also closed the loop for all those times when maan deserved it....................we know he did many a times.............


brilliantly executed episode----------------
much needed episode...........
guru and drashti-----------you are true class-------------born performers--------

maan's reaction is the fulcrum of the show now--------------this is the making or breaking point --------------- dont disappoint us.....................we trust you...........

everyone has situational memory exactly like Geet….one mistake makes u Demon because you are mature older and not pregenant….Whatever he did for 100 episodes for her not counted….HE saved her 3 times…She and her child is alive…because of him…I know my cousin sister had abusive marriage at early age….22 still..we never found any suitable match for her…..with divorce tag….Geet got someone like Maan who…accpetd her with child….first time in this serial…they treated her like pregnant women….when Maan took her to gynec…Did she ever remembered herself she was preganant….standing on chair..coming out of window…running on stairs…But what gift he got….was pain…humiliation….accusation in front of media…

I maintain my stand….Maan faced her wrath because of she heard half statement….Its not his fault if she cant listen entire conversation….and jump to conclusion….Why he responsible there…Oh yes,,,,she is 18 preganaant,,,so she has right to kill anyone with her words…

Geet is facing his wrath…..because of her own actions….As I said…Every action has equal and opposite reaction…He is just reacting to,,,Miss Handa action…

@ Nandu….if you take is liked by maneetfan….who inspite having same trauma in real life in supoorting Maan….….you achieved everything Nandu…

this " madad ki zaroorat nahi hai " ticked him off---------------it always does.........That's the part which threw the fat into the fire.. all this time he was trying to maker her admit that SHE needs him in her life ( because he desperately wants her to admit that as he certainly KNOWS that HE can't survive w.t.o her but to him, her saying she did not need him to fight her battles translates to Her NOT Needing him and THAT throws him into an over the top, mad frenzy)

4. the dance

this man can dance.........he suerely can.........Yep, That He can. The Kurbaan hua, I mostly attributed to Dhristi but My, he proved me wrong today. He really can dance Man. I guess my doubts came from the club dance. Wasn't impressed with his moves their. Prob. he is more into more sophisticated dancing. Whatever, apart from his moves with the girl, he was a treat to watch, for obvious reasons. :)

that is exactly why he lost his all senses the moment he realised geet left him there-------------------he just could not take it..............then came the disaster ..for me it is more like he wanted to see her keep on hurting as he is hurting but can't take the fact, that she walked away after all this w.t.o saying a word, still with her dignity intact, while he knew, for himself on certain level, that he had lowered himself in his own eyes by behaving the way he did with the other girl.

as in past when all stared at Geet when he announced her as his 'mangaitar' dint he yell then that no 'tamasha ' is on.......

& if i remember well......dint Geet call his attempts to make her stop and listen to him a 'tamasha'....tamasha means showing tricks ....mostly like 'Circus' right!!
how come then it was not a term used to insult & now is....

'tumnai mujhai aaj tak siwaye takleef kai diya hi kya hai!' .... 'Hum dono kai beech koi rishta nahi hai' & today when he pushed her away from him
& what does he do......hurts the hand that pushed her away..breaks the glass, punishes himself
coz he is living with double hurt ....... one the wound that she inflicts on him & second the wounds cozed by tears in her eyes in reaction to his reaction to her given wounds
'tum bhi auro jaise nekli'..... he locked his heart from the rest of the world ...but she seemed different & thus made her way to his heart & like 'others' ended up hurting him
more severely than they all put together ever could .....
Did we see Geet regret or get hurt at having hurt him.....No ! not atleast on her own ..if you plan to count her taking the medicine ..coz t was not self realization
it was Dadi's words that made her do that

Creatives i loved the way the slap was executed .....it was well balanced.

Her Pregnancy ..... are we not same people who once cried for abortion/miscarriage ....... are we not the same people who were always into confusion about her actions in her state of health
& Geet herself has scared us to core with her disastrous self maintainance ways ...but how conveniently we remember her state of health now to rub it on Maan's face ...

coz he is living with double hurt ....... one the wound that she inflicts on him & second the wounds cozed by tears in her eyes in reaction to his reaction to her given wounds
'tum bhi auro jaise nekli'..... he locked his heart from the rest of the world ...but she seemed different & thus made her way to his heart & like 'others' ended up hurting him
