I have always had the most fun during Diwali time. For me Diwali means complete family time. No matter what I may be doing during the rest of the year, I ensure that I take an off for two whole days and spend them solely with my mother. I join her in the puja and also when she goes sweet shopping. I know she gets immense satisfaction from having me around her at this time and hence I oblige her every year. When I was a kid, I remember the excitement that used to take over the household at the thought of new clothes! One Diwali, my dad had gifted me a brand new cycle for Diwali. Now as I look back on that time, it is so amusing to recollect the way in which I used to tie crackers at the back of that cycle and ride it around the town imagining that I was James Bond. Those truly were the good old days!
