Time to move on

Hi all,

It is now official that Jyoti will end in November. I love Jyoti a lot and will miss it very much, but it is now time to move on to the next best thing. So, I'm wondering what other shows do u guys watch, what would you recommend, I'm basically looking for a show that is bit similar to Jyoti (you know back in the days when Jyoti was a realistic show). No offense, but the upcoming show KMH show seems bit too immature, I have tried to check out some other shows but to no avail. So, dear Jyotians plz help a girl out. What do I look for in a drama?....Easy, no saas bahu crap, some romance is good and a Jodi with a good chemistry, bit of a family drama is good as well, suspense is a must. Overall, it must be show one can relate to. So if you know any serial with such characteristics plz do let me know.

Watch Sasural Genda Phool, its not the usual Saas bahu drama but a feel good kinda show, and has some light humor which de-stresses instantly, or you can watch Aarakshan like I m planning to, the show which replaces Jyoti, since even I am into off beat stuff and it is that kinda show about the reservation scenario in India for the various SC, ST, OBC people and how the education and employment system gets affected by this.

As I recommend to any Jyoti fan, Rakt Sambandh!!! It's everything one might have wished for in Jyoti, and fulfills all your desires - suspense, good chemistry b/w the leading leads, plenty of plotting first by the family and now by the bahu, murder, blackmail, police investigations, plots to thwart the cops and a whole lot more. Anyone in Jyoti who were fans of Sudha would love it, since Sandhya is such a versatile character. Of the 5 sisters, only one lives in a tortuous family like Jyoti's was, but refuses to get away from it, and be a semi-doormat, but the others all have different challenges of their own.

Like Nikkie and Vrish , I see both the above mentioned shows . SGP because of the feel good factor and i love the treatment given to the show . ( I love the original Bengali show OBS )and RS for a suspense family drama.

What does OBS stand for?

I would recommend SGP, RS n Pratigya...really awesome shows....

Its Ogo Bodhu Shundori ( meaning Oh Beautiful Bride), it is a Bengali show telecasted on Star Jalsha, a local Bengali channel under Star Network, and SGP is a remake of OBS, both made by Ravi Ojha Productions.

OBS is probably 10 months ahead of SGP as far as the storyline is concerned.
