Buzz up!
After making shows on social evils like child marriage, infanticide and other sources of suppression of females, COLORS has now joined hands with VG productions to make a show for them titled as Vidhwa.
Informs our source, "COLORS have asked us to make a capsule of 22 episodes after which they will give us a suitable timing and date of the launch. The show is about the widows and their living style from the northern region of the country. We will go on the floors starting 8th or 9th of November."
Co-producer Virendra Kumar says, "Pooja Bose is playing the lead as of now and we have shot the pilot. The show awaits the channel's approval."
When contacted, Bose sounded indecisive and said, "I am not sure about the show as yet."
Hemant Chaddha too refused to comment. Apparently, Surendra Pal was to play Bose's father on the show but was later replaced by Pankaj Dheer.
We sent a text message to Ashvini Yardi, programming head COLORS, but she didn't revert.
