Success in marriage does not come merely through finding the right mate, but through being the right mate. Well, I feel that the secret to having a good marriage is to understand that marriage must be total, it must be permanent, and it must be equal.Partners are not always compatible and in making a happy marriage it is not how compatible you are, but how you deal with incompatibility.In my opinion the most important marriage skill is listening to your partner in a way that they can't possibly doubt that you love them.
Now lets analyze the characters: Who controls the realationship? I seriously think that Krishna controls the marraige. From the very beginning he has pushed Prats to the point that she had no choice but to surrender. Although fuming with anger Prats has been respectful to him and his family ( I know she has defied them, but she was right in doing so because they are criminal and deserved it). She has never humiliated him or his family on the grounds that they were not educated.
After realizing she was in love with Krishna she stayed back with him willingly and tried to win his love back. She silently suffered all his anger and bad behavior with a smile and never gave up on her marraige after the trial. She has never bad mouthed the ill behavior and daily abuse she faces from her in -laws to Krishna ( Amma burning her hand, the thakur's locking her in her room when Krishna disappeared and the constant verbal abuse). And above all she did not leave after her's and her father's face was blakened. Why did she stay? Because she loves him.
What has krishna done for his love? Ofcourse he loves her. No doubt about that . But I feel he loves her on his terms. I understand he has saved her and defended her numerous times. Well, why is Prat in this position in the first place? Because of Krishna. He saves her because he knows deep down he is responsible for the state.
When he found out the truth about her kidnapping why was he so angry? Was it because Prats did not disclose the event or whether he felt she was not pure enough for him? The incident occured before her marraige. So why would she have to open her past life out for him. Everyone is entitled to have a life before marraige and I do not beleive that a spouse has to know every detail about it. It was her past, not his. Why did he not let her go. He said it himself ,he wanted her to stay and repent of something she has never done.
He slapped her knowing that it was his fault entirely. He forced her to lie about the pregnancy. Recently he raised his hand to hit her once again.
Has he really supported her in her fights entirely? No. he disregarded how she felt and supported his parents in withdrawing the FIR. He supported his family in the engagement drama not acknowleging the fact that it was his dad's fault.And now he will declare in front of his evil parents that they were right in saying that he should not have married her. And Prats still standing there shocked and tears in the eyes. This is what she gets after all she went through.
So yes, Krishna controls the relationship right now and its about time Prats realizes it and makes some changes. If he thinks it was a wrong decision to marry her and she willingly wants to stay in the marraige, she should prove him wrong. Give him a reason to think what he said was a grave mistake from his part. Give him some space and leave him alone for a while. This is not the time to cry and sulk. If you give in now its over for you .Please show him you are not a doormat but his wife.
