Just some observations on the show:
Ekta probably has access to a lot of talent and money. OK so you want to copy stuff - at least do it well! The production value of the show is so pathetic its kinda shocking. The clothes, the fake snow, the jumping from one scene to another (she was walking in the forest at night a 15 mins distance and gets to college during the day, then snow, then straight to class - with her suitcases?, then from hostel room to rapelling - how random!) Everybody's in short skirts and tanks and it starts to snow!?
During the whole rapelling sequence we kept wondering if our TV was messed up as everything seemed washed in a blue light (just in case we didnt get the lifted from twilight bit?)
I can see how the brainstorming session must have gone for this show -
- hey i like gossip girl and how everyone dresses up and calls each other by their initials. we can have our girls wear ugly ill-fitting dresses showing off that they all do indeed possess and wear underwear!
- and have you seen / read this twilight thing? made a lot of money and made the girls swoon. the hero's eyes change from gold to black and he runs sooo fast thru the jungle.
- oh btw twilight is based on vampire diaries and the girl there is an orphan. lets kill off her parents and leave explanations for later. that way if the present story line doesnt work we can always dip into the past!
I wouldnt be surprised if she throws in elements of Glee next!
