Firstly, I would like to start off by congratulating the entire cast and crew of Dill Mill Gayye for completing 700 episodes successfully. It would've been great, if they would've completed a 1000. However, as they say, all good things have to come to an end. Dill Mill Gayye was a colourful show which saw many ups, downs, twists and turns. It was a fresh, youthful and energetic story from the beginning and had a unique charm to it. Maybe because of the way they showed love scenes, which was definitely new to Indian Television, or the fresh cast that they had chosen especially to play certain prominent roles to contribute to the story. LIke all plots, there are conflictions, resolutions and happy endings.
Dill Mill Gayye gave us two contrasting seasons packed with full-on entertainment, fun, masti and another with intense drama, problems and even more problems. It would not hurt to say that the first season was definitely more successful than the second due to the immense popularity of the actors, characters and storyline but also because of the freshness. Season 2 promised to give us the same but extra better however, it did not turn out the way it should've been. Fans were terribly devastated with new faces and the disappearances of the old cast kept us all questioning.
The main storyline of Season 1 was all about Armaan and Riddhima and how their love developed over time. Along with them, other popular characters like Atul, Anjali, Rahul, Muskaan, Abhimanyu, NIkita, Shubhankar, Keerti, Shashank and Padma also bloomed their own love stories. However, the end of Season 1 was a great cliffhanger leaving us all shocked with the news that none of the lovers had been united.
Season 2 opened up with the great mystery as to what had exactly happened to our beloved Armaan and Riddhima. Honestly, I felt that it was a great cliffhanger and they should've stuck to that and developed Sid-Tamanna & Yuvraaj-Naina. However, once again, as humans we hate to see change. In this case, the cast. Petitions, Strikes almost everything hit the forum and the CVs. Then the great, grand entry of Dr. Riddhima Gupta was aired and just when we were thinking, it's all going to be alright, it wasn't. That's when the most famous storyline of Armaan, Riddhima and Siddhant started and was the main storyline of Season 2. A love triangle.

I cannot deny the fact that I hated Season 2 to it's maximum but I got my favourite couple KaSh back again for a few months which was definitely worth the torture. In my opinion, Riddhima was my least favourite character out of everyone. Even though, she was the main protagonist, Armaan was the one that caught my eye. KaSh chemistry was definitely the reason I started watching Dill Mill Gayye.
The journey from 20th August 2007 - 29th October 2010 has been long and many faces have been lost through the journey, however, I would like to thank Karan Singh Grover the most for being there most of the time and playing my favourite character of Armaan Mallik. For me, the most consistent character out of all :) LOVE YOU KSG!!

My main reason to stay on IF was only Dill Mill Gayye, now that it's ending, I would like to say that this will be my very last post. To be honest, I don't care who ends up with Riddhima in the end, I would just like to see one last KaSh moment, even if it's just a 'Thank You' one from Armaan to Shilpa. Somewhere, something tells me in the end it will be Armaan and Riddhima.
Shilpa Anand has always been my favourite actress on Indian Television and will remain to be so. Karan Singh Grover, the best as usual :) My favourite couple = KaSh! I hope to see them soon again somewhere else. I loved AR because they were KaSh and I loved KaSh because they were AR. For me, AR = KaSh = AR.
