To Love Again - Part – 32

'Maan? Maan?' Geet called for Maan at dawn feeling the pain around her hips. Maan opened his eyes and saw her sitting on the bed with terror in her eyes. 'Geet? What happened dear? You had a bad dream?' Maan was unable to get the point this time. Geet looked at him with teary eyes and slowly took his hands and kept it on her tummy and murmured 'It is coming'. Maan widened his eyes with excitement and terror knowing that Geet has to experience the pain all alone this time.

'Geet, we better go to hospital' Maan spoke softly trying to ease her pain by massaging her hip. Geet opened her mouth in surprise and asked 'hospital? At this time?' She did not know what she said and what was happening to her. 'Yes, right now we have to go to hospital. We need to get ready and head to the hospital' Maan talked to her hiding his nervousness. He did not know what to expect and how hard it would be for them during the whole process.

Maan helped Geet to get out of the bed and led her to toilet to give her a warm bath. He was not an expert to all these, but somehow managed to follow the instructions he has learned from different sources. He was ready for the worst because he knew Geet would definitely bring the worst of the situation for them. He knew every bit of his wife so well; her being a child woman was one fact that he fell so much for her. Geet felt the running warm water eased her pain for a while and she wanted to be there as long as she could, feeling the gentle touch of her husband. Maan applied the shower cream all over her body allowing his fingers to feel her smooth and silky skin.

Maan covered her with a bathrobe and carried her into the bedroom by himself, not letting go of her for a split second. He attended her before himself, making her feel the importance of her to him and how much he cared for her. He looked more handsome and sexy as he pulled on a white shirt and blue jeans. Geet tried to get out of the bed when she got a relief, but could not take a single step as Maan put her down 'Geet, not today, let me do everything for you now as I could not do anything to ease your pain when the time comes' Geet felt the concern in his husky voice. She could not do anything else other than giving a sweet smile to enlighten his heart.

They were ready within an hour, but decided not to disturb Daadi as it was still early morning. Maan promised Geet that once they reach the hospital he would call and ask Daadi to come and meet them there. Geet was experiencing the pain every now and then shifting her mood in accordance with it. Maan was very careful when he took her down stairs, and called the shocked Chandu to bring the bag down. Without many difficulties, Maan made Geet to sit on the back seat of the car and rushed himself inside after that, ordering the driver to head for the hospital.

Before they could reach the high way, Geet cried with pain holding her hands on the bottom of her tummy. Maan put his right arm around her, allowing his left hand to massage her tummy along with her hips trying to ease her pain. He advised her to take breaths holding her carefully as she tilted her head onto his shoulders when the pain grew. He talked to her, trying to keep her conscious and strong until they reach the hospital. As her condition became worse Maan shouted at the driver 'what the hell are you doing? Can't you drive any faster?' 'Yes sir' the driver uttered knowing that he could not do anything to ease what his boss was going through.

'I can't do this anymore, Maan. Please help me' Geet murmured at Maan's ear when she felt that she could not hold it any longer. 'No Geet, you have to do this, for us and for the baby' Maan knew that it was easy to say it but difficult to do. He patted her tummy lovingly and bent down to talk to the baby 'sweet heart, even we are eager to see you but please don't let your mommy suffer so much' he raised his head and looked at his wife who was smiling at him through her tears.

'Mr.Khurana, we need to take her to the labour room right now, but will arrange everything as you requested' doctor Sujit informed Maan about what they have planned. 'Don't worry, Mr.Khurana, your wife will be alright' the doctor patted on Maan's shoulder before heading to his cabin. It was right that moment Daadi called him 'Maan beta, what is this both of you are doing? Why didn't you inform me? How is Geet now?' Daadi started with her nonstop questions. 'Daadima, I was about to call you, Geet is fine and I will send the car to pick you up' he ended the call as doctor approached towards him.

'Mr.Khurana, as we have discussed before Mrs. Deepika will be attending Geet as the head doctor and I will monitor everything from here' knowing Maan so well, doctor Sujit detailed everything to him while heading to the private ward he has booked for his wife. He remembered the very first time they came here for the check up, which made her to cry with happiness. He sat on the cushion glancing at the door in every other second trying to know what was happening to Geet. 'Sister, how is Geet now?' He ran to the nurse who came out from the delivery room trying to know how his wife was. 'She is fine' the nurse smiled at him thinking about the love and concern he has for his wife.

Maan rose to his feet when he heard the opening sound of the delivery room door, 'Mr.Khurana please come inside' a nurse came running to him. He did not know how he ran into the delivery room to see his wife laying there tired to death because of the pain. 'Geet? Doctor, what happened to Geet?' Maan held Geet's face with his hands while questioning the doctor. 'Mr. Khurana, your wife needs to be strong, she should not let go off it so easily and so soon' doctor Deepika explained the matter to him, asking his help. Forgetting the people around them Maan bent down and gently kissed on her lips and whispered into her ears 'Geet, you have to do this for us and for the baby. I am always there for you and be strong for me as I cannot live without you' he smiled at her knowing it was time for him to control his emotions to give her strength. He touched her tummy one last time before leaving the delivery room, to feel their baby who was on its way to meet them within few hours.

Thanks sweetie I didn't even know how I got the idea of Maan doing everything for her and their baby😲, I simply asked from my hubby😆😆😆 and he told me to go this way, and I have gone through it(Shhhhh! secret😆) so I know how difficult it would be, but hopefully will try to make the next part more emotional and strong!
