How come dada jee did not comment on his poti asking for titanic poses and what not from the actors who visit the sets? Itna hee problem hai toh kyoon sari duniya key saamney stage per gana gawa rahey hain Sugandha sey?

Just came across this article. The grandfather's reaction is ridiculous.

Firstly, it is just a faire la bise. I understand it is uncommon in India and people are uncomfortable with it, but its just a kiss on the cheek. It is a friendly gesture of affection with no ill intentions or perversions attached. With changing times its becoming more acceptable, especially when its a one off instance like this.

Secondly, to object or accept a show of affection is the girls choice - not her family. People have refused hugs and kisses from celebrities before. She had the complete choice to turn him down. She expressed a crush, which is an expression of interest of sorts and he reciprocated with a friendly gesture. She was shy and surprised, but in no way she appears to feel violated. However, if anyone could have raised objection or demanded apology it is her.

Finally, that John apologized on public television despite having done nothing wrong to me is a show of good character and well meaning intentions. As a celebrity with thousands of women doting and drooling over him he could have easily gotten away with a private apology (phone call or note) or downright refusing - but he did something he did not have to. Kudos John.
