Out of the ones in the poll, Vishal Bhardwaj hands down.

But I do really like Raju Hirani and Imtiaz Ali even though they haven't been around for a decade..and Farhan..how did I forget him?

from the past DECADE, I'd definitely say Madhur Bandharkar, Farhan Akhtar (He gave us DCH, NUFF said), and Mani Ratnam to a great extent.

had you said the prvious decade, I would've said RGV

VB and Imtiaz Ali! I only loved Raju's Munnabhai MBBS. Not even LRM. I don't think he'll ever be able to create MBBS kinda magic again.

I also like FA.

I'm bias towards SLB, but hands down it's Mani Ratnam...he makes the best films with the most realistic stories and love his story-telling method!!! Ppl are right to call him India's Steven Speilberg b/c he def has a way w/story-telling!!!
