Who Owns My Heart?

Sorry for the deceptive title folks. This has nothing to do with me or my heart. This is about a song. Namely a new song, by Miley Cyrus. Our beloved Disney diva is again in the news stirring controversy over her racy video. Compare to Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry Britney Spears or any of the pop artistes - this is just another music video. Tame perhaps. However, considering that its Hannah Montana performing these many are ticked off.

Her Vanity Fair photo shoot caused a huge media furore. Then she pole danced to "Party in the USA". Her "Last Song" after party antics with Adam Shankman was an even bigger controversy. The photo shoot was approved by her parents. While her partying was frowned on by parents Billy Ray defended her saying "she was just being a teen". Her mom has now made statements that, they are worried about her going astray.

Is there really a problem with Miley or is it all because she was once a perfect Disney girl?
Will she go the Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan route?
Are her parents to blame for anything?

OK.. she's just a teen. There are teens like her and she's in the spotlight.. what's the difference? There are millions of teens like her..

She's been an icon for the teenage gals, she still is. Even though, she's been involved in so many scandals, she is loved all over. I am an ardent MC fan too. Just that, I like her for her acting and singing, she's doing well enough!

Fame and power go hand in hand, you see and they've spoiled her. As you mentioned, she's been the Disney gal for like four years however, now she's way too indecent to be liked by Disney followers.

There isn't a problem with her. It's just the fame that's taken over her. She was in every way the perfect Disney gal but now the case is different. She's a part of the real holly-buzz and hence, even though she's young, she tends to get involved in stuff she shouldn't be.

Will she go the Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan route?

I have just read a few articles about Lindsay, and I have no idea about what's with Britney. Umm, well. Yes! She's already had so much that there are high chances of her in indulging in every godforsaken thing. Maybe!

Are her parents to blame for anything?

Whatever she is today is because of her parents, especially her father. He's been with her throughout and I don't think they're to be blamed. Neither her father nor her mother would have had the slightest idea of her turning out like this. How can they help it? Her attitude and hormones and everything aren't under their control. She herself has to mend her ways, or she'd end terrible!

Well perhaps, she's a teen, and handling such huge fame at this age is misleading. Or probably Miley thinks if she makes such videos, she'd get rid of her disney image? But honestly, even Hilary Duff was a disney darling, but I don't think she was a part of half the controversies Miley was a part of.

As for Miley heading the Lindsay or Britney way, true that, she is. Infact, she seems more like a replica of Lindsay than Britney to me.

Her parents do play an important role in her life, but then there are certain things which she herself needs to understand. And the biggest thing she needs to understand is, when you're a celebrity, your every move is being watched critically. People need chances to bring you down. She can always opt for films outside Disney, something maybe more mature, but at the same time she can try to retain a clean image, and be saved future controversies.
