I think the answer to that is that DP knew Nakku truly loves Dutta and DP knew Kala's plan but it was too late. Also if Dutta wasn't heartbroken would he have EVER married Naku? DP knew his son's heartbreak would turn to anger like Seema's time.. and maybe he had an inkling that Dutta would do something drastic in this case killing Naku but thanks to Babi's outburst he instead took to marrying Naku?

That's the only way it would make sense I suppose? =)

There may be a bigger Hasti than Damodar Patil.

In today's promo he was followed, and cut off. Is that Dutta and Baji? Or is it the person who paid that guy to place and explode the hand grenades? Is it Aayi Sahib herself?

Is Anna alive? Is it the old Garage Owner? Has Sudarshan anything to do with this?

Is the bigger hasti after Damodar Patil, and he is running out of time?
